About the Role

CatholicCare Central Queensland is seeking an experienced and passionate Disability Services Manager to provide operational leadership across our disability services within an allocated geographical region.

This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to establish and lead a high-performing team responsible for service coordination, scheduling and the delivery of exceptional participant-centred services that support our growing client base.

Reporting to the General Manager – Disability Services, you will work collaboratively with fellow Disability Services Managers across the Diocese to ensure services are safe, responsive, financially sustainable and aligned with CatholicCare's Mission, Values and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

As the Disability Services Manager, you will:

  • Providing operational leadership and management of disability services within an allocated
    geographical area;
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality, participant-centred services that promote participant choice, independence, inclusion and wellbeing;
  • Managing workforce capability, operational performance, financial sustainability and resource utilisation to achieve agreed service outcomes;
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative, contractual, NDIS Practice Standards and organisational
    requirements while fostering a culture of safeguarding, quality and continuous improvement;
  • Building productive relationships with participants, families, carers, support coordinators,
    referral partners and community stakeholders to strengthen CatholicCare's reputation and service reach;
  • Supporting the implementation of organisational initiatives, disability sector reforms and service
    improvements that enhance participant outcomes and organisational performance; and
  • Contributing to the sustainable growth and continuous development of CatholicCare's Disability Services

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Disability, Human Services, Community Services, Health, Business or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience delivering services under the NDIS, QCSS, NIISQ or other disability-funded programs.
  • Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Leadership, Management, Business or a related discipline.

In addition to the above, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Substantial operational leadership capability, including the ability to lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams, manage operational performance, build workforce capability and achieve participant, workforce and service outcomes;
  • Substantial knowledge of contemporary disability service delivery, including the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Queensland Community Support Scheme, National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland and contemporary disability practice, together with the ability to deliver safe, responsive and participant-centred services;
  • High level financial and business management capability, including the ability to manage budgets, workforce utilisation, operational performance and resource allocation while contributing to financially sustainable service delivery;
  • High level governance, quality and risk management capability, including the ability to ensure compliance with legislative, contractual, NDIS Practice Standards and organisational requirements while implementing quality improvement initiatives and effectively managing operational risk; and
  • High level stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management capability, including the ability to build productive relationships with participants, families, carers, support
    coordinators, health professionals, community organisations and government stakeholders while positively representing CatholicCare.
