Your Opportunity as Director, Sales West & eCommerce, Food & Beverage

The Director, Sales West & eCommerce, Food & Beverage will lead customer strategy, planning, execution, and results for Smucker’s Food & Beverage portfolio with West Region and eCommerce customers. The Director will translate brand and customer strategies into actionable business plans that accelerate growth, deliver executional excellence, and build long-term strategic partnerships.

This leader will deliver results through a large sales team, setting clear priorities and operating rhythms while fostering an inclusive, accountable culture. They will balance near-term delivery with long-term growth, strengthen external partnerships, and work directly with cross-functional partners to expand market share and profitability.

Location: Working Remote, USA (Approximate travel from 50%-60%) and residing near a major airport.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Own customer strategy, planning, execution, and results across West Region and eCommerce customers, delivering profitable sales, share growth, and financial objectives.
  • Own end-to-end forecasts, P&L performance, trade investment, pricing, promotion effectiveness, and value-chain decisions.
  • Lead Joint Business Plans, including senior-level customer engagement, strategic alignment, execution priorities, and joint value creation.
  • Advanced the company’s vision for e-commerce sales while working collaboratively with key stakeholders to accelerate sales and improve profitability in the e-commerce & omni-channel trade.
  • Lead a large, high-performing sales team; set clear priorities, drive accountability, and establish operating rhythms that enable the team to deliver results.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales and/or commercial experience with a record of delivering business results.
  • 7+ years of customer-facing sales experience, including strategic planning, executive engagement, and negotiation leadership.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading teams and developing high-performing talent.
  • Experience managing a P&L and making value-chain decisions that drive business results
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel, eCommerce, category management, trade promotion, pricing, forecasting, and sales planning.
  • Experience using syndicated data, customer data, financial reporting, digital analytics, and marketplace insights to shape strategy and execution.
  • Bias for action and experience operating in a fast-paced environment, making data-driven decisions and optimizations, preferably in the CPG, retail, and/or eCommerce space.

Additional skills and experience:

  • Strong experience across multiple classes of trade including Club, Grocery, and eCommerce/Amazon
  • Enterprise leadership mindset with strong judgment, ownership, and ability to deliver results through teams and stakeholders.
  • Strategic, analytical, and financially disciplined approach to translating insights into priorities and action.
  • Digital acumen that connects content, search, merchandising, fulfillment, and shopper experience to business performance.
  • Executive presence, clear communication, and trust-building with senior leaders, customers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Consumer-first, change-oriented leadership with a bias for action and focus on long-term value creation.
