Job Description

You want to play a part in making NSW a better place to work, live and travel.

You’re called upon to help decision makers identify the options that best match their objectives. This is your opportunity to deliver exceptional services to the people of NSW, create innovative solutions, and foster strong partnerships.

In this role, you'll:

Reporting to our Executive Director Workplaces in our People Communications and Workplaces division, you’ll provide strategic leadership for the commercial and contract management of workplace contracts within Workplaces, setting direction, priorities and overall strategy.

You will lead a team of commercial and contract management professionals, building capability, strengthening governance and fostering a high-performing, business-partnership focused culture that supports the delivery of critical workplace services.

You'll lead the continuous improvement of contract management practices across a variety of contracts including facilities management, workplace services, security and fleet, ensuring contracts deliver value, manage risk and support operational requirements.

Combining strong commercial acumen, financial management expertise and people leadership, you'll simplify complexity, strengthen supplier performance and drive better service outcomes for customers.

This permanent position is located in our Macquarie Park office. The role is governed by our hybrid working model, which forms part of the organisation’s Flexible Working Arrangements and associated procedures. This includes a combination of required onsite attendance and approved remote working.

You’ll bring deep subject matter expertise in commercial management of large, complex service contracts, ideally across facility management, workplace services or property operations. You’ll understand how to translate operational requirements into effective commercial strategies, governance arrangements and contract outcomes.

You’ll bring proven capability in maintaining a high level of service and performance while fostering a future-focused view, setting the agenda, frameworks and processes that align to business and customer expectations and deliver sustainable, long-term value.

You’ll have a strong track record of continuous improvement while strengthening governance, managing risk and driving accountability across complex service delivery environments.

You’re a team player with excellent communication skills and build relationships easily, and your ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a complex environment and navigate competing deadlines and priorities is unquestioned.
