Our Model Behavior and Design teams architect the fundamental interaction paradigms of Google’s Search product. As the Director of UX for Model Behavior, you will bridge the gap between human-centered design and machine learning engineering. You will be responsible for shaping how users interact with our most advanced conversational agents and generative features—specifically defining the UX and behavioral heuristics for AI Overviews and AI Mode.
In this role, you will define the Search Model Behavior strategy, establishing the foundational frameworks for model persona, conversational architecture, and interaction principles. You will translate qualitative user needs into quantitative technical signals, ensuring that our AI experiences are helpful, safe, and deeply aligned with user intent.
