
The Lung cancer portfolio is one of the fastest growing portfolios in Pfizer Oncology and includes the following brands: LORBRENA and BRAFTOVI/MEKTOVI Lung. Lung cancer is the most common cancer, and LORBRENA, our ALK+ inhibitor has been prescribed to over 12,000 patients since launching in the US in 2018. The practice-changing 5-year follow-up data from ASCO 2024 has led to 40% growth in 2025 and has solidified LORBRENA’s position in treating patients with ALK+ metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). We anticipate additional follow-up analysis of the pivotal Phase 3 CROWN trial data to be presented later this year to further strengthen the medicine’s position in the current treatment paradigm.
The Director LORBRENA/Lung Marketingposition will report to the US Lung Team Lead and will be responsible for the following: 1. leading the development of LORBRENA’s non-personal HCP strategy, 2. Co-creating promotional strategy and tactics with the LORBRENA HCP strategy lead, 3. working across the lung portfolio to lead non-personal promotional analytics and engagement. Activities associated with this position include strategic marketing, tactical planning, data & analytics. The Director will work closely with internal and external partners, including, CMO, media, market analytics, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, TLELs, Advocacy, other members of the brand team, and agencies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead development of LORBRENA non-personal promotion HCP strategy and tactics, including digital and media placement strategy in close collaboration with the LORBRENA HCP lead
Develop and lead Lung Portfolio strategy across customers including peer-to-peer strategy
Own insight gathering and oversee execution of all 3rd party programs across lung portfolio, ensure insights are embedded into lung portfolio strategy and tactics
Own all promotional projects through the Medical, Legal and Regulatory review process and ensure that materials and programs are compliant
Lead efforts to coordinate and align work across cross-functional and marketing colleagues, agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and tactical alignment and execution for all personal promotional materials
Manage outside agencies: develop project briefs, execute projects, and manage timelines, while ensuring consistency with product positioning, brand guidelines, company goals, and ethics
Propose and manage detailed budget for responsible tactics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred
8+ years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience preferred; 7+ with MS/MBA
Previous in-line US/global Marketing experience and/or understanding of advanced lung cancer landscape preferred
Performance in prior positions demonstrates that candidate is well-prepared to advance their Marketing career beyond this role
Demonstrated ability to develop actionable insights from complex clinical data and market research
Knowledge of OPDP regulations and FDA promotional policy, Clinical Development, and Medical Affairs
Strong leadership and ability to influence across functional stakeholders, including senior executives, to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with both internal teams and co-promotion partner
Excellence in additional professional competencies including collaborative and cross functional problem solving and communications, innovative thinking, sense of urgency, and a passion for the science of oncology and for helping patients with cancer
Experience with the management of external agencies/ vendors as well as project budgets and timelines
High-energy, proactive self-starter who has the initiative to function autonomously and the confidence and ingenuity to initiate, create, and innovate
Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Oncology, specialty, or rare disease marketing experience
MBA or other related graduate-level degree
Experience working across a portfolio of brands
Champion innovation, seek learnings from other brands and other industries to innovate and enhance plans
Fosters a culture of collaboration and teamwork
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and lead colleagues outside of a direct reporting relationship through influence and persuasion
Comfort with ambiguity, and complex “white space” environments
Agilemindset; Track record of pushing boundaries and not accepting status quo, finding ways to deliver in the face of accelerated deadlines

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $176,600.00 to $294,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
