Together we shape thriving communities, public spaces, places and economies.
What’s in it for me?
The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) is looking for a strategic and forward‑thinking executive to help drive the delivery of critical transmission projects across NSW. This is a unique opportunity to shape how major energy infrastructure is delivered—leading complex work, influencing key decisions, and making a tangible impact for communities and the state.
The role
You’ll lead a high‑performing team working closely with EnergyCo, government partners and industry to keep post‑approval requirements for major transmission and renewable energy projects moving. It’s about delivering quality outcomes at pace, improving how we work, and ensuring strong environmental standards—while providing clear, practical guidance for applicants, communities and internal teams.
Day to day, you’ll operate in a fast‑paced and complex environment, setting priorities, resolving issues early and putting the right systems in place to keep work on track. You’ll bring people together, cut through complexity with clear, evidence‑based advice, and continuously improve processes to reduce delays, remove duplication and provide greater certainty for applicants and the community.
