Job Description

The Director, Technology Performance is responsible for driving how NexCore’s operations teams use technology to execute their work effectively and consistently across our company and senior communities.

This role focuses on translating systems into clear, practical workflows that improve day-to-day execution in the field. The emphasis is on owning the technology platforms, and ensuring they are implemented, adopted, and used in a way that enhances performance, efficiency, and overall employee and resident experience.

Partnering closely with the CFO and Operations leadership, this individual will identify workflow gaps, define best practices, and drive consistent use of core systems (e.g., Yardi, Welcome Home, ALIS, etc.). This role will also play a key part in NexCore’s broader technology efforts, ensuring solutions are grounded in how teams operate and deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Execution Through Technology

  • Define and standardize how operations teams should use core technology platforms within day-to-day workflows across communities
  • Partner directly with community and regional leaders to identify inefficiencies in current processes and implement practical, technology-enabled solutions
  • Observe and assess how work is executed in the field, identifying gaps between intended and actual system usage
  • Translate system capabilities into clear, executable processes that improve consistency, efficiency, and ease of use for frontline teams
  • Drive alignment across communities by establishing and reinforcing best practices for how technology supports operations
  • Ensure workflows evolve alongside system enhancements, maintaining alignment between platform capabilities and operational execution
  • Reinforce accountability for consistent execution, partnering with Operations leadership to ensure expectations are clear and sustained

Implementation & Execution

  • Lead the rollout of new systems, modules, and enhancements with a focus on how they will be used in daily operations
  • Develop implementation plans that clearly define workflows, ownership, timelines, and success metrics
  • Ensure implementation efforts are grounded in operational reality, balancing speed with adoption and sustainability
  • Support communities through implementation, addressing challenges in real time and removing barriers to execution
  • Drive consistency across communities while allowing for practical adaptation where needed

Adoption, Training & Change Management

  • Design and deliver training focused on how work is performed using technology, not just system functionality
  • Partner with field leadership to reinforce expectations around consistent system usage and operational discipline
  • Establish feedback loops with users to identify friction points and continuously improve workflows and usability
  • Drive sustained adoption through ongoing coaching, communication, and reinforcement
  • Measure adoption and effectiveness, adjusting strategies to ensure long-term behavior change and consistency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, IT, Finance, Marketing, and People teams to ensure alignment between systems and how work is executed in the field
  • Collaborate with internal technology teams to ensure systems support operational needs without overcomplicating workflows
  • Engage with technology vendors as needed to support operational use cases, implementations, and enhancements
  • Contribute to broader technology initiatives by ensuring an operations-first perspective is consistently represented

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness through better use of existing tools and processes
  • Evaluate new technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, through the lens of practical application and field adoption
  • Pilot and scale improvements that enhance workflow efficiency, decision-making, and user experience
  • Support the development of a forward-looking roadmap that balances innovation with usability, consistency, and operational impact

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a multi-site operating environment (senior living, hospitality, healthcare, or similar), with a strong understanding of how work is executed in the field
  • Proven ability to drive operational performance through technology adoption, workflow design, and process improvement
  • Hands-on experience implementing and optimizing systems such as Yardi, CRM and EHR platforms, workforce management tools, or similar
  • Demonstrated success leading change and driving adoption across distributed teams
  • Strong ability to translate complex systems into simple, practical processes that teams can consistently execute
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence both frontline teams and senior leadership
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability

What Success Looks Like

  • Technology is consistently and effectively used across all communities as part of daily operations
  • Clear, standardized workflows define how work is executed using core systems
  • Measurable improvements in efficiency, consistency, and team productivity
  • Strong alignment between operational expectations and system usage
  • Increased confidence and ease of use among field teams
  • A scalable foundation for continued improvement and thoughtful adoption of new technologies

Benefits

  • Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 / year
  • Eligible for discretionary benefits: performance bonus
  • Eligible for standard employee benefit elections: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, FSA, HSA, Commuter Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Life Insurance (employee and dependents), Short-term disability (STD), Long-term disability (LTD), Accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), vacation days, sick days, and other benefits
