  • Strong expertise in Indian direct and indirect tax frameworks
  • Experience managing complex tax audits, litigation, and regulatory engagements
  • Deep understanding of procure-to-pay, treasury governance, and compliance environments
  • Proven leadership experience managing large cross-functional finance teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Experience working within global matrix organizations
  • Strong program and project management capabilities

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead resolution of indirect tax disputes, audits, and litigation matters.
  • Ensure compliance with MSME regulations and other statutory vendor payment requirements.
  • Strengthen tax controls embedded within financial and operational processes.

Procure-to-Pay & Vendor Governance

  • Drive disciplined financial governance over vendor compliance, MSME requirements, vendor confirmations, and month-end accrual coordination.

Treasury Governance & Payment Risk Management

  • Oversee treasury governance including banking relationships, payment control frameworks, and foreign exchange compliance (including FIRC and cross-border payment structures).
  • Strengthen internal safeguards and approval structures to mitigate operational and fraud risks.

Payroll Tax and Workforce Compliance

  • Partner with HR and global teams to proactively manage workforce-related tax risks, including cross-border employment structures and permanent establishment (PE) exposure.

Business Partnership & Leadership Impact

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, controllership, HR, procurement, and global finance teams on tax, regulatory, and financial governance matters.
  • Provide strategic guidance on emerging regulatory developments, risk exposures, and compliance priorities.

Leadership Partnership with India Finance Leader

  • Work in close leadership partnership with the India CFO to strengthen enterprise governance across tax, treasury, and payment operations.
  • Support execution of finance strategy by building scalable, compliant, and globally aligned processes.

Strategic Leadership Responsibilities
