Tātaki Auckland Unlimited is Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland's cultural, events and destination agency, working to grow the region's economy, sustain its cultural infrastructure and champion Auckland on the world stage. As a council-controlled organisation, Tātaki Auckland Unlimited plays a central role in delivering the council’s vision for events, destination marketing, venues, arts and culture, screen and tourism outcomes for Aucklanders.
We are seeking up to two new Board Members to join Tātaki Auckland Unlimited's governance team. These appointments come at an important time for Tātaki Auckland Unlimited as it continues to build the region's economic recovery through events, tourism and major projects, while ensuring strong commercial performance and public accountability.
Tātaki Auckland Unlimited's board provides governance oversight of the organisation's events, tourism, destination marketing, venues and economic development activity, working with management to set strategic direction and ensure Tātaki Auckland Unlimited delivers lasting value for the Auckland region.
Auckland Council is seeking candidates with sound governance experience and a genuine commitment to the wellbeing of Auckland. Ideally, candidates will bring:
Knowledge of tikanga Māori suitable to guide and lead Tātaki Auckland Unlimited in its engagement with Māori stakeholders is also highly valued for at least one of these appointments.
