Within the Consumers and Strategic Services Division of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, Land titles and Surveys Branch ensures that the Minsters Mandate, Ministry strategic and business plan goals drive outcomes to ensure property rights are protected, programs and related services are modernized and registry services run efficiently.

The Director, Surveys & Specialty Services (SSS) provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for survey and specialty registration services delivered in Edmonton and Calgary. This role ensures the consistent, accurate, and timely intake, examination, and registration (or rejection) of survey plans and specialized documents, while supporting legislative compliance and service excellence.
The Director is accountable for operational performance, professional judgment on complex registration decisions, workforce capacity, and stakeholder relations. This position plays a critical role in protecting Alberta’s property rights and maintaining the integrity of the Land Titles system. This team and the Land Titles System team is undergoing a significant transformational change within this fiscal year, and this leader will help shape the change.

University degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of related experience.
