We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director,Supply Chain Technologyto join our team and drive our digital transformation initiatives.

TheDirector,Supply ChainPlanning and Inventoryplaysapivotalrolewithin theSupply Chain Technologyfunctionof theDTE RPMSgroup.This rolewill oversee the development, implementation, and optimization ofdata andtechnology solutions to supportglobalsupply chainoperationsand the real-time data flow to and from Vertex, ensuring alignment with Vertex's strategic goals and compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strategic leader who can managea complex data and technology environment spanning multiple internal and externalpartners and drive continuous improvement insupply chainprocesses through innovative technological solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Vision and Strategy

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives and identify planning and inventory AI and technology solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization, ensuring Vertex remains at the forefront of technological advancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the supply chain data and technology strategy supports broader organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Operational Execution

  • Oversee the implementation and management of data and technology solutions that integrate insights across the Vertex network for all supply chain planning and inventory management activities, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

  • Capture and prioritize AI, data and technology demand from supply chain stakeholders

  • Collaborate with cross-functional experts such as data engineering, infrastructure, software engineering, and security to oversee the estimation, design, planning and delivery of supply chain digital solutions

  • Analyze business processes and needs to identify areas of improvement, recommend technology solutions, and deliver actionable functional and technical requirements and that meet compliance and regulatory standards

  • Coordinate end user communication, training, and project engagement activities to ensure technology users are appropriately allocated to solution development efforts and receiving value from final solutions.

Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing, diverse team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Create a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equity where everyone can do their best work and feel valued.

  • Communicate effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders to align strategic priorities, project progress, and the impact of data initiatives.

  • Represent RPMS in cross-functional meetings and initiatives, advocating for data-driven approaches and ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding and experience of designing and implementing data and technology solutions in clinical and commercial supply chain environments and across a supply chain network.

  • Proficiency in data management and automation principles and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in rapidly adopting and implementing emerging technology (e.g. AI/ML, agentic).

  • Proficiency in Supply Chain planning and inventory tools (e.g. Rapid Response, OPM) and strong understanding of business processes and technology.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.

  • Advanced certifications in AI, product, agile, software engineering, cloud technologies, or leadership preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain management, within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Proven track record of implementing and optimizing digital manufacturing control systems and data flows across multiple companies.

  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.

  • Extensive experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including GMP.

  • Experience with the supply chain processes and data requirements of small molecule, cell therapy, gene therapy and other modalities.

  • Familiarity with supply chain data and process standards such as SCOR, GS1, ISA-95, ISO 8000, UN/CEFACT, and EDI (e.g., X12/EDIFACT), with demonstrated ability to apply them in designing interoperable solutions.

  • Willingness to travel as needed (up to 10%) to support business objectives.

Pay Range:

$198,000 - $297,000

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Hybrid work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2. On-Site work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
