Responsible for directing and supporting strategic and operational supply chain initiatives for an assigned Service Line by working in collaboration with corporate and hospital Service Line leadership, clinical councils and medical staff. This role will manage a professional team of supply chain service line experts who will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing and value analysis functions. The Director will ultimately be responsible for the supply chain spend and compliance in their assigned service line. This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Supply Chain.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Nursing or a related field preferred.

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Minimum (5) years of relevant experience with a degree or 10+ years in a supply chain or clinical leadership role in lieu of degree. Relevant experience can include experience in sourcing, procurement, value analysis or a clinical leadership.
Must have demonstrated at least 4 years of solid leadership experience.
Experience working with senior executives and physician leaders
Demonstrated experience managing budgets
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must have experience working within a matrixed environment as well as strong project management and organizational skills
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develops, monitors and directs system-wide, service line supply chain initiatives ensuring that the system is maximizing the value opportunity available while continuing to deliver the highest quality of care.
Oversees and manages all supply chain activity related to a specific service line including sourcing of items, vendor relationships, contract management, pricing accuracy and budget variances.
Leads and develops a supply chain team consisting of sourcing, value analysis, purchasing and analytical resources.
Leads and supports Corporate Service Line leadership meetings, clinical council committees, including Clinical Practice Councils, and ad hoc committees as necessary.
Assists in the development and implementation of strategic, financial and operational plans with respect to the Service Line, including development of capital and supply expense budgets with special consideration of new technology and services.
Collaborates with the Network Performance Team (NPT) on supply chain improvement initiatives to ensure execution on strategic initiatives driven by or in partnership with Care Delivery site executives, Ambulatory, MHMG and Post-Acute care networks.
Ensures the service line meets performance metrics that reflect supply and purchased services expense reduction initiatives. Responsible for reporting results to supply chain, service line and clinical leaders. Maintains current knowledge of advancements and developments in service line treatments and service offerings.
Implements change, demonstrating the ability to engage with physicians, management and clinical staff to achieve compliance for initiatives. Maintains knowledge of the internal and external drivers for change in medical surgical products, medical technology, services and clinical best practices.
Acts as the overall process owner and maintains responsibility for the continuous improvement of services provided by the supply chain service line team.
Utilizes system resources to analyze and assess supply expense variances by facility and system. Accountable for determining root cause of variances and working with business and clinical staff to identify and implement processes to resolve.
Ensures that the supply chain service line team has the tools, training and support needed to complete goals and develop innovative new solutions to address the needs of those we serve.
