Job Description

General Summary of Position:

Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic and Student Affairs Budget, working independently and in close coordination with the Dean of Student Affairs and Wellness, Dean of Student Affairs and Experiential Learning and Dean of Equity and Inclusion, this individual will oversee and be responsible for approximately $75 million annually. Management of these funds includes long-range planning and projections for all auxiliary businesses including housing, campus dining, and the multimillion-dollar residential and dining capital funds, as well as oversight of procurement, financial, and administrative services of all departments within the three divisions listed above. This individual will also provide financial administrative support for academic affairs.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management, or a similar field.

Experience

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience (depending on the degree) in accounting, budgetary control, long-range planning, billing, collection, payable and receivables, or similar field.
  • Proven knowledge and ability to use Peoplesoft, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with state purchasing, RFP’s, contract services, and residential leasing.

Additional Considerations:

  • Master of Business Administration or similar degree.
  • Ability to work effectively with professional, clerical, maintenance, student, and contracted personnel.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and ability to utilize University technical systems and PC programs to monitor and administer budgetary responsibilities.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete assigned responsibilities in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Familiarity with State purchasing, RFP, and contract services.
  • Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records of all budget- related materials.
  • Proven ability and experience in budget management and auditing.
  • Experience in billing, receivables, payables.

This is a full-time, benefited, SEIU 888 Professional Union position, Grade P20. Anticipated salary based on qualifications and experience within range. Minimum: $85,689, 25th quartile: $98,542 and midpoint of $111,396.
