What’s the role?

As a Director in our Strategic Investors team, you’ll be at the centre of how Westpac builds and grows relationships with superannuation funds and institutional investors across Melbourne. You’ll spend your time deepening trusted partnerships with key decision‑makers across investment, treasury and risk teams, and connecting clients to the breadth of Westpac’s capabilities.

This is a relationship‑led role where you’ll originate and deliver integrated solutions across capital markets, funding, risk management and transaction banking. You’ll play a key role in expanding our network across the investor ecosystem, strengthening coverage depth, and positioning Westpac as a long‑term partner to providers of patient capital.

This is a full‑time, Melbourne‑based opportunity within our Corporate and Institutional Bank, offering you the platform to influence outcomes for clients while helping shape Westpac’s presence in the institutional investor market.

What do I need?

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring strong investor insight, commercial judgement and the confidence to build meaningful, long‑term relationships.

• Experience working with institutional investors, superannuation funds, asset managers or financial institutions.
• A strong understanding of investor behaviour, asset allocation, portfolio construction and operating models.
• Ability to originate or facilitate opportunities across debt and private markets, and connect clients to capital and investment flows.
• Knowledge of transaction banking, payments and liquidity management, with awareness of emerging digital asset and payment trends.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance relationship development, risk management and commercial outcomes in a regulated environment.
