Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a high-impact leadership role that combines strategic finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), investor relations, capitalization table management, and board-level reporting.

The Director, Strategic Finance will serve as a trusted business partner to the CFO, CEO, and executive leadership team, providing financial insights, forecasting, and strategic analysis that support growth initiatives, capital allocation decisions, and stakeholder communications. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced technology environment and can balance long-term strategic planning with operational financial management.

What You'll Do:

  • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Lead the annual budgeting process and manage rolling forecasts in partnership with the CFO and business leaders.
    • Develop, maintain, and enhance cash-basis and GAAP-basis budgets and forecasts across the organization.
    • Own and maintain the company's multi-year financial model, ensuring alignment with evolving business strategies, revenue streams, and cost structures.
    • Partner with functional leaders to establish and manage departmental P&Ls.
    • Deliver regular reporting on revenue, billings, forecasts, and financial performance.
    • Conduct monthly budget-to-actual variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
    • Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, forecasting accuracy, financial reporting, and supporting technologies.
  • Strategic Finance & Investor Relations
    • Support the CFO on capital raises, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic finance initiatives.
    • Own and maintain the company's capitalization table, ensuring accuracy across equity issuances, financing rounds, and secondary transactions.
    • Evaluate and implement cap table management solutions to enhance reporting and stakeholder visibility.
    • Support investor relations activities, including responding to investor inquiries and coordinating investor communications.
    • Assist with investor reporting requirements, including K-1 distribution processes.
    • Partner with the CFO and CEO to develop board presentations, investor materials, and executive-level reporting packages.
  • Sales Finance & Business Performance Reporting
    • Partner with Sales Leadership and Sales Operations to support executive reporting and business performance analysis.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools leveraging Salesforce and other data sources.
    • Analyze sales performance, attainment metrics, pipeline trends, and forecast impacts.
    • Participate in executive business reviews and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
    • Build business cases and financial models for new products, services, strategic initiatives, and acquisition opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, investor relations, or related finance functions within a high-growth technology or SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience owning complex financial models and leading annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience creating executive and board-level presentations.
  • Experience supporting investor communications and/or capitalization table management.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP financial reporting and financial planning methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial concepts to executive and non-financial audiences.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Have:

  • Experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or mergers and acquisitions.
  • MBA, Master's degree in Finance, or CFA designation.
  • Experience with advanced analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python.
  • Experience working with NetSuite and Salesforce.
  • Prior experience within a cybersecurity, SaaS, or other high-growth technology company.

Why BlueVoyant?
