Specific Responsibilities Would Include:

Leadership in merchandising and operations management, KPI management, team building, SOP development, customer engagement, team performance management, and budget control. Ensure the right quality, vendor selection, pricing, and on-time delivery. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth functioning of the business and its supporting functions.

Business Development• Develop business with designated customers and brands by identifying optimal new sources of supply to meet business targets based on customer requirements.• Source potential new suppliers, manage a reliable and responsive supply base, and discuss supplier performance to achieve speed in the market.• Provide local leadership to develop and maintain supplier relationships.• Develop and train staff in sourcing and production skills.• Guide the team in supplier development, seasonal evaluations, and capacity planning for production.• Ensure satisfactory execution of all POs to meet commercial KPIs: OTD, lead time, etc.• Collaborate with the team and cross-functional parties on order status and supplier capabilities.• Monitor critical paths with the team and address any arising issues promptly.• Conduct regular reviews of feedback from team members on various issues, including production status, and take corrective actions as needed.• Oversee the entire process pre- and post-order placement to ensure that quantity, quality, specifications, and delivery dates are met.• Provide leadership and direction to the team, sharing knowledge and resources with others through digital and social platforms to support their success.

Sourcing Office Operations• Ensure the division complies with local administrative requirements.• Estimate and manage the division's annual expense budget.• Hire, develop, lead and retain high-performing talent and teams. • Establish and manage daily operations within the division, overseeing product compliance, delivery, logistics, and administration.• Participate in developing overall sourcing strategies, providing country-specific updates, and communicating strategies to the team.• Support various business and operational strategies, including vendor consolidation and trade preference penetration. • Maintain vendor playbooks that detail vendor and factory capabilities, business size, and percentage of business to facilitate smart sourcing and allocation decisions.• Make a genuine effort to rebuild trust among team members when necessary. Encourage team members to test new ideas efficiently through rapid prototyping, viewing innovation as a journey that may involve many turns.• Create opportunities for team members to strengthen their networks, value their opinions, and seek diverse perspectives.• Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned.• Support the regional platform as designated.• Complete other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.• Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in sourcing, production, and merchandising within a relevant industry (e.g., apparel, consumer goods).• Demonstrated expertise in category management with deep knowledge of the market landscape and supplier base.• Proven experience in people management, including leading globally dispersed teams.• Strong creativity, technical capability, and a keen aesthetic sensibility for merchandising and design.• Stays current with the latest merchandising trends, consumer behaviors, and industry best practices.• Familiarity with common procurement systems (PLM, Infor Nexus, Inspectorio) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are essential.
