
The Director, Source-to-Contract Technology will define the technology strategy and lead a team responsible for the vision, roadmap, implementation, and support of Source-to-Contract technology solutions and related AI capabilities, including the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) platform (ProcessUnity), eSignature platform (DocuSign), and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) platform (Icertis). This position will collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders across several functional areas to identify, prioritize, and deliver technology solutions in support of their goals and objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Become a trusted partner by understanding the business needs and vision to deliver technology and related AI solutions to support and enable the business goals and objectives
Manage platform governance, including articulating a long-term vision for the platforms, delivering and prioritizing the technology portfolio appropriate stakeholders and continually building the future roadmap while maintaining high operational standards
Lead and develop a high-performing team of with technical leads/analysts and managed services resources
Identify proactively resource gaps and drive resolution by developing resource plans, considering internal/external resources and developing strategies to meet short/mid/long-term business needs
Oversee a portfolio of programs, projects, vendor releases and system enhancements, assuring quality and timeliness of delivery while remaining within allocated budget limits
Manage the implementation of AI capabilities in the Source-to-Contract space while meeting compliance, legal, and ethical standards, including data privacy and regulatory requirements
Proactively offer innovative technologies, solution ideas, and potential business process improvements in pursuit of driving efficiencies and meeting business needs
Manage relationships with strategic software vendors and managed service providers
Oversee day-to-day support and maintenance for Source-to-Contract platforms, ensuring maximum uptime, high performance, and excellent customer service
Work closely with Compliance, Internal Audit and Quality Assurance (as needed) to ensure compliance with GxP regulations, as well as Vertex’s system lifecycle and change management requirements
As a people manager, perform financial accountability functions and human resources responsibilities
Knowledge and Skills:
Extensive technical and functional experience with ProcessUnity, Icertis, and DocuSign, in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
Experience implementing AI/ML technologies with measurable outcomes
Proven track record of on-time project delivery for large, cross-functional and complex projects with global stakeholders
Experience translating broad business strategies and functional priorities into effective operational goals and objectives
Superior stakeholder management with the ability to credibly communicate and influence strategic outcomes with senior leaders and key stakeholders
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, including the development of business cases/value propositions
Experience with running IT managed services or outsources/offshore teams
Expertise leading enterprise application and SaaS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and operational support procedures
Experience managing complex integrations with external SaaS solutions
Proven capabilities in people management and building high-performing teams
Program/project management, demand management, resource management and financial management expertise
Strong understanding of key concepts related to GxP validation, Software Development Life Cycle, Information Security, and Digital Transformation
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in a clear and concise manner to all audiences
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing technology
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in technology discipline or equivalent
Typically requires 10 years of work experience with relevant business systems in the Life Sciences industry, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range:
$198,000 - $297,000

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
