Site Director, Component Services |Wellington, Kansas

The Site Director serves as the senior on-site leader responsible for the day-to-day management, performance, and execution of all facility operations. This role provides leadership across operations, business development, customer service, supply chain, engineering, quality, safety, maintenance, and workforce management to ensure the site consistently meets operational, financial, and customer objectives.

The Director translates company and regional strategies into operational execution, drives a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, and serves as the primary liaison between site employees and regional leadership. While responsible for site performance and operational results, ultimate accountability for regional strategy, business performance, and profit and loss rests with the Vice President & Regional General Manager.

Key Responsibilities


Site & Business Leadership

  • Provide visible and effective leadership for all site activities, ensuring alignment with company values, strategic priorities, and performance expectations.
  • Serve as the senior on-site leader and primary point of coordination for operational, employee, and customer-related matters.
  • Lead a culture focused on safety, accountability, operational excellence, customer service, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with regional leadership to execute business strategies, growth initiatives, and operational improvement plans.
  • Foster strong communication across functions and ensure employees understand business objectives and performance expectations.


Operational & Financial Performance

  • Direct daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable execution of customer commitments.
  • Drive performance against key metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, service, delivery, cost, and employee performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operating efficiency, resource utilization, and overall site profitability.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and financial reviews while maintaining disciplined management of operating expenses and company assets.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts and corrective actions to address operational challenges and improve business results.

Customer & Commercial Support

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to support customer retention, market growth, and service excellence.
  • Ensure customer expectations are consistently met through responsive service, operational reliability, and quality execution.
  • Participate in customer reviews, site visits, business development discussions, and issue resolution efforts.


Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Champion a culture where safety is a core value and a shared responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Lead initiatives that improve safety performance, reduce risk, and strengthen operational discipline.
  • Maintain a focus on quality and continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.


Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Partnering with HR, recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing workforce.
  • Provide leadership and direction to site management and supervisory personnel.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Drive employee engagement, succession planning, leadership development, and workforce capability initiatives.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment.
