YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Site Groups to drive operational excellence, safety leadership, and customer satisfaction across our most significant installation and integration projects. In this high-impact senior leadership role, you will oversee a portfolio of large complex project sites, providing governance, mentorship, and strategic direction to Site Group Managers and site-based safety functions.

Working closely with project delivery, engineering, and customer stakeholders, you will bring structure, consistency, and innovation to installation delivery at scale. Your leadership will directly influence project performance, team capability, and customer outcomes across some of our most advanced automated warehouse projects.

This role is based in Belrose, Sydney, with regular national travel to key project sites. Candidates based in Melbourne or Brisbane may also be considered.

Tasks and Qualifications:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead Dematic’s site installation function across multiple major projects, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery
• Mentor and develop Site Group Managers to drive high performance, professionalism, and strong site leadership
• Drive best‑practice installation planning and execution to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in line with contractual commitments
• Strengthen collaboration between site teams, project delivery, engineering and customers to keep complex projects moving forward
• Support proposal development and estimation activities for Sales and Consulting teams
• Champion a strong safety culture across all sites, maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and risk reduction across project sites
• Provide expert guidance across site management processes, commercial governance, and installation excellence
• Oversee budgets, schedules, resourcing, and project outcomes
• Maintain deep understanding of customer needs and translate these into strategic site execution plans

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Construction, Logistics, or a related discipline
• Extensive project delivery leadership experience within complex engineering, construction, or material-handling environments
• Strong knowledge of automated systems, material handling, racking and large-scale installation projects
• Proven commercial and contract management capability
• Demonstrated success leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel nationally
