About this role

Carrier Fire & Security segment offers the opportunity to expand upon the aftermarket business and build a new digital services business. Reporting to the VP & GM, (Industrial Fire Products & Solutions and Fire & Security Services & Aftermarket), the Director - Services & Aftermarket will have overall responsibility for building and driving revenue roadmaps, setting strategic growth priorities, and development of playbooks and action plans to deliver targeted growth in recurring revenue, connected services in the Fire and Security services portfolio. The scope includes recurring revenue services (e.g. maintenance contracts), repair services, modernization, parts, remote monitoring, connected and digital services, among others. Considering the product life cycle, customer requirements and digitization, this role will lead service transformation across the business globally. This is a hybrid role preferably in Palm Beach Gardens but could be based out of a Carrier HUB i.e. Charlotte or Indianapolis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive channel expansion to grow the aftermarket business
  • Develop new service offerings for asset management and healthy buildings
  • Build a roadmap for connected solutions to generate new digital services revenue streams
  • Bring together aftermarket products and service subscription platforms
  • Build the strategic vision and roadmap to accelerate services growth within F&S business segment needs and leverage technology
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders i.e. engineering, digital, strategic marketing and P&L leaders to develop opportunities and connected offerings to convert service offerings that meet customers’
  • Analyze and benchmark industry service models to develop and implement the transformation service model
  • Use market, industry, regional, consumer and customer data and insights to identify best opportunities for development of the businesses globally
  • Develop service initiatives with areas and countries to differentiate F&S service with more customer value
  • Develop and plan objectives, (long-range and short-range), that impact on the growth in sales and margin across businesses
  • Responsible for pro-forma service P&L
  • Provide leadership in the development of an effective organization and its members
  • Grow aftermarket parts capture, drive service attachment, improve digital/connected service offerings, and lead change management
  • Develop and own key components of the service and aftermarket transformation
  • Advise and guide Business Unit Leaders on standard methodologies related to service & aftermarket
  • Lead a small team tasked with driving complex, global and strategy transformation

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10 plus years experience in growing aftermarket and services initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • MBA
  • P&L experience in service and aftermarket
  • High-energy, highly collaborative service and/or aftermarket orientation
  • Exposure to key service and/or aftermarket parts concepts
  • Aptitude towards strategic thought
  • Display a strong sense of urgency, a bias for positive action and a history of delivering results
  • Problem-solving, analytical abilities, critically evaluate information, sound business knowledge
  • Leadership in successful process improvement initiatives
  • Focus on process development and implementation that spans organizational boundaries
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills
  • Reconcile conflicts and effectively interact with external and high-level internal stakeholders
  • Operate in a fluid environment and comfortable with change
  • Travel 20%
