Job Description

As Director – Service Performance, you will join the leadership team of Aspen Medical’s Defence & National Security portfolio, providing enterprise leadership across service performance, analytics, assurance, reporting and continuous improvement. Working across Operations, Clinical Services, Commercial, Workforce and Digital functions, you will establish the frameworks and performance intelligence that give leaders a clear view of how our services are performing, where risks are emerging and where opportunities exist to improve. This is a highly influential role for an experienced performance leader who can turn complex operational data into meaningful insights and drive a culture of accountability, evidence-based decision-making and continuous improvement across large-scale, mission-critical healthcare services.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead our enterprise performance strategy, developing and embedding performance frameworks, measures, scorecards and governance processes across the Defence & National Security portfolio.
  • Drive executive performance reporting and analytics, ensuring leaders have timely, accurate and actionable insights across service delivery, operational readiness, workforce, clinical and commercial performance.
  • Translate data into strategic insight, identifying emerging trends, risks and opportunities and providing forecasting, modelling and analysis to support executive decision-making, service expansion and future growth.
  • Establish robust performance assurance, ensuring reporting methodologies, data quality and performance information are consistent, transparent, reliable and auditable.
  • Lead continuous improvement, using performance reviews, root cause analysis and evidence-based improvement initiatives to strengthen service quality, operational effectiveness and customer outcomes.
  • Build performance capability across the organisation, leading a high-performing performance, reporting and analytics function while partnering with senior leaders to strengthen data literacy and performance management practices.

About you

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Health Management, Public Administration, Data Analytics, Performance Management, Health Informatics or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Significant senior leadership experience across enterprise performance, organisational performance, operational analytics, governance, assurance or service improvement within a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing enterprise performance frameworks, executive reporting, dashboards, scorecards and performance governance systems.
  • Exceptional analytical capability, with the ability to interpret complex operational and performance information and translate it into clear insights, recommendations and executive-level decision support.
  • Strong stakeholder leadership and influencing skills, with experience working across multiple functions and senior stakeholders to drive accountability and sustainable performance improvement.
  • Experience within healthcare, Defence, government contracting or another highly regulated, multi-site or mission-critical service environment will be highly regarded, along with the ability to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Security Clearance.

This is an opportunity to shape how performance is understood, managed and improved across one of Aspen Medical’s most significant portfolios. If you are an accomplished performance leader who combines strong analytical capability with commercial thinking, strategic insight and the ability to influence at an executive level, apply today to join our Defence & National Security team.
