  • Partner closely with traders to support risk-taking decisions, position construction, and trade idea execution

  • Conduct deep industry and company-level due diligence, including legal document analysis (credit agreements, covenants, restructuring frameworks)

  • Drive idea generation and trade recommendations with clear catalysts, valuation frameworks, and risk/reward analysis

  • Prepare and present investment materials and trade ideas to internal stakeholders and, where relevant, external counterparties (banks, buy-side clients)

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams across trading, sales, and structuring to source opportunities and share insights

  • Contribute to the strategic development of the franchise, including enhancing market presence and driving revenue growth

Requirements:

  • 10 years of relevant experience in distressed credit, special situations investing, credit trading, or structured/leveraged finance within a leading investment bank, hedge fund, or asset manager

  • Strong track record of generating actionable investment ideas and contributing to trading P&L

  • Deep expertise in distressed/special situations analysis, including restructurings, capital structure arbitrage, and event-driven investing

  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial statements and legal documentation

  • Solid understanding of market structure, liquidity dynamics, and trading considerations within credit markets

  • Excellent commercial judgment and decision-making ability in time-sensitive situations

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to senior stakeholders

  • Highly self-motivated, with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
