Job Description

This position will be based in the Central Region of the U.S., and the hiring team will consider candidates residing in or near a major city/airport within the region. This would include Minneapolis, MN, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, St. louis, MO, Oklahoma City, OK, Chicago, IL, and Detroit, MI.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Director of Sales CE US is responsible for leading and executing sales strategies to achieve growth targets across assigned Fresenius portfolio. This role will drive field execution, build strong customer partnerships, and develop regional business plans aligned with national sales objectives.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage all sales activities to achieve and/or exceed sales objectives through development and execution of business plans that align with national strategy and reflect market opportunities.
  • Build, maintain, and lead a high performing sales team by recruiting, selecting, onboarding, mentoring, and developing front line sellers, while building a strong bench for future talent.
  • Achieve sales objectives by planning, monitoring, and evaluating results. Inspects pipelines and forecasts; and ensuring effective utilization of CRM tools to drive sales force productivity.
  • Assign and adjusts sales team quotas, accounts, territories, and coverage models to support sales objectives and changing business needs.
  • Enable teams to secure the necessary resources, pricing, approvals, and internal support required for effective day-to-day execution.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers and stakeholders positioning the Company as a partner of choice while monitoring market and competitive trends to inform strategy.
  • Oversee customer contracting processes, ensuring timely execution, adherence to business policies, compliance standards, and effective utilization of systems such as APTTUS.
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between team and senior leadership by communicating performance outcomes, risks, opportunities, and market insights; provide regular updates on performance.
  • Partner cross functionally with Marketing, Clinical, Operations, and Human Resources to optimize go-to-market strategies, elevate customer engagement, drive engagement, performance management, and organizational capability building.
  • Lead execution of key account strategies and complex sales initiatives, including new product launches and enterprise agreements.
  • Represent the organization at key industry conferences, customer events, and strategic forums to advance brand presence and thought leadership.
  • Ensure all sales activities align with regulatory, compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy and recommend course corrections as needed.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

ADDENDUM:

Hospital Solutions

In addition to the responsibilities outlined in the job description, the Director, Hospital Solutions will:

  • Lead and manage all activities to achieve and/or exceed sales objectives through development of strategic account plans that align with national strategy and reflect market opportunities.
  • Represent In Center and Hospital portfolio and provide thought leadership with customer audiences.
  • Apply expertise in business portfolio planning to identify opportunities and expand wallet share across portfolio offerings.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and execute complex sales programs.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and contract management systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and lead through change.
  • Demonstrates superior verbal and written communication skills in order to effective communicate value proposition to decision makers.
  • Demonstrate professionalism necessary to engage, influence and coherent convey the value proposition to decision makers.
  • Working knowledge of dialysis business models and direct competitive landscape and the key value-added, differentiators within company offerings preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of the issues faced by customers and ability to identify root causes and develop innovative solutions to
  • address the issues preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of customer segment (e.g. issues, trends and pain points, voice of the customer) and ability to influentially discuss with senior customer contacts preferred.
