The Director, Sales Enablement is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and executing the enablement strategy across Enterprise & Business. Working in partnership with Sales, Product, Go-To-Market and Marketing teams, the role drives sales capability, productivity and commercial performance through the delivery of effective sales methodologies, value propositions, tools, content and governance frameworks. As a key member of the Sales Operations leadership team, the Director leads initiatives that strengthen go-to-market effectiveness, accelerate onboarding and capability development, improve compliance and operational discipline, and empower sales teams to deliver differentiated customer outcomes and sustainable business growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deliver onboarding, continuous learning and coaching initiatives that build capability across sales, pre-sales and leadership teams.
  • Oversee the creation and governance of sales content, communications, tools and knowledge resources, ensuring teams have access to accurate and relevant information.
  • Drive sales process optimisation, systems adoption and operational excellence, improving compliance, efficiency and the end-to-end quote-to-order experience.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing enablement team, using data-driven insights to measure impact, influence stakeholders and support business growth.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated success leading Sales Enablement, Sales Excellence, Commercial Capability or Go-to-Market functions within complex B2B organisations.
  • Deep expertise in developing and embedding sales methodologies, enablement programs and capability frameworks that deliver measurable improvements in customer outcomes, revenue growth and sales effectiveness.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to partner credibly with senior executives and align cross-functional teams around strategic priorities.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, translating market trends, customer needs and complex product portfolios into clear, differentiated value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience leading business transformation, operational excellence and change initiatives, including sales process optimisation, systems adoption, governance and compliance uplift.
  • Outstanding people leadership and coaching capability, with a demonstrated ability to build, develop and inspire high-performing teams in telecommunications, technology or other complex B2B environments.

  • Competitive remuneration and employee discounts. Make life easier (and more affordable) with $80 monthly credit and 25% off Optus products and unique shopping discounts with our retail partners.
  • Flexible working arrangements with opportunities to work three days in the office, two days remote or home.
  • Vibrant and collaborative office campus that includes cafes, convenience store, chill out zones, GP, post office, gym and on-site childcare centre.
  • Competitive leave policies, including additional 'Connected’ days to focus on culture, family, health, community, or whatever’s important to you.
  • We support growing families with inclusive, carer-neutral paid Parental Leave of up to 16 weeks.
  • Direct your own development and build future-ready skills with Optus U’s industry-focused micro-credentials, developed with La Trobe and Macquarie Universities.
  • Build meaningful connections through employee-led networks and diversity initiatives including Culture Connect, Elevate Women, Disability Network and Express Yourself (LGBTQIA+).
  • Put your wellbeing first with free access to counselling and support services, 24/7 — in-person, by phone, SMS, or video.
  • Free Optus bus from Macquarie University Metro Station (every 6-8 minutes); morning and afternoon.
