Moog’s Power & DataDivision is seeking a Director,Salesand Business Developmentto lead global sales, marketing, business development, andlong-termgrowth initiatives across a diverse portfolio of highly engineered products and solutions. This senior leadership roleis responsible forshapingnear-termandlong-termstrategies, driving global revenue expansion, and ensuring sustained competitive advantage across three major Business Units: Slip Rings, Motion Control, andRugged Optical Solutions
This position oversees worldwide sales execution, including direct regional sales teams and an extensive international manufacturer’s representative network. The Director will play a critical role in transforming the sales organization, strengthening customer engagement, and supporting the Power & DataDivision’s strategic alignment with Moog’s executive leadership.
This is a highly visible, global role requiring strategicexpertise, commercial leadership, and the ability to influence across multiple cultures, customer communities, and Moogdivisions.
As Director,Salesand Business Development, you will:
Strategic Leadership & Growth
Provide strategic direction for global sales and marketing initiatives, shaping bothnear-termandlong-termgrowth strategies that maximize revenue and profit.
Lead the development and execution of organic andacquisition drivengrowth strategies for the Power & DataDivision.
Create,maintain, and manage fiscal year budgets—balancing bookings forecasts, operating expenses, andchanneltomarketcost optimization.
Serve as a key member of the Strategy, Innovation & Growthleadership team, influencingDivisionwideinitiatives.
Global Sales Leadership
Lead global sales efforts through direct regional sales teams and a worldwide field sales network, includingmanufacturerreps and distributors.
Provide strategic oversight for performance management, contract agreements, and optimization oflong-termchannel strategies.
Shape, develop, and transform the global sales and marketing organization to enhance capability, alignment, and execution.
Develop, attract, andretaina global staff ofhigh performingsales and business development professionals.
Business Development & Market Expansion
Drive business development efforts andgotomarketstrategies across Power & Data Business Units, coordinating with Moog’s Space and DefenseDivisions
Promote customer intimacy by building and sustaining multitier, longstanding relationships across more than 250 customer accounts worldwide.
Identifynew business pursuits—including opportunities outside Moog’s core—supported by market assessments, capture strategies, and ROI analysis.
Leverage trade shows, conferences, and industry events to expand networks,monitortrends, and surface strategic growth opportunities.
Cross Functional& Executive Collaboration
Support Power & DataDivision engagements with Moog’s executive team and board of directors.
Work closely withDivision Marketing to shape and prioritize budgets, campaigns, and strategic initiatives.
Drive business simplification efforts while improving overall customer satisfaction.
Industry& Regulatory Insight

Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS)
Department of War (DoW) funding processes
Apply geopolitical, social, and economic awareness to shape market strategy and develop new opportunities.
To be considered, you will need:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
10+years of business development experience, ideally within the defense industry
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complexcomponentand system architectures andidentifyopportunities for Moog’s scope of work.
Proven capabilities inidentifyingand developing business opportunities, budget/forecast planning, and leading successful negotiations.
Progressive leadership experience overseeing multisite and multicultural teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, includingexecutive levelpresentations.
Familiarity with global trade compliance, acquisition frameworks, and government funding environments.

Salary Range Transparency:
Blacksburg, VA $190,000.00–$260,000.00 Annually
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
