Job Description

The Director, Sales plans, directs and coordinates all sales related activities for the assigned product line. Supervise National Account Managers and Regional Managers to ensure that plans are developed and implemented to achieve Division sales goals.

This position will serve our Rheem North America, and is based near a major airport within the United States.

  • Establish overall sales goals and targets for the assigned division, product or channel, ensuring alignment with Marketing and overall marketing plan.
  • Evaluate sales management organization and recommend changes to improve sales and build relationships.
  • Support the marketing organization in developing strategies, training plans, pricing, sales support materials and advertising programs.
  • Supervise and direct all activities and performance of Customer Development Managers, National Account Managers and Manager of Manufactured Housing, Pricing, Channel Managers as well as clerical and other direct reports.
  • Work with Customer Development and Channel Managers to establish clear performance objectives and roles for Account Managers and independent sales agencies.
  • Actively support the professional development of subordinates by providing necessary training programs and timely evaluations.
  • Manage and approve rebate structures to ensure that competitive and fair programs are maintained.
  • Evaluate market reactions to sales activities and programs to ensure timely adjustments to meet changing market and competitive positions.
  • Review and recommend sales forecasts and projected expense budgets designed to attain pre-defined sales and profit objectives.
  • Establish and assign sales quotas and oversee management of the quota system.
  • Recommend changes in selling methods, basic structure and organization of the Customer Development group to ensure the effective fulfillment of objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree Business Management or related field.
  • More than 10 years Experience selling in wholesale channels.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.
  • Knowledge of Division customers, markets and channels.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sales plans.
  • Must be capable analyzing and interpreting industry related regulations/journals.
  • Must be capable of presenting information and responding to inquiries from internal/external customers.
  • Experiencing in developing and managing budgets.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Advanced mathematical skills including the ability to calculate discounts and percentages.
  • No travel restrictions--Must be willing to travel extensively.
  • Experience in managing large, national, multi-branch accounts preferred.

Equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may supplement above minimum job requirements.

The pay scale for this position $154,900 - $263,100. Please note all pay ranges are broadly stated and any final offer is dependent on factors such as location, direct experience, market guidance and internal equity, among other qualifying criteria.
