Job Description

Lead the Region in optimizing revenue, product performance, and commercial processes by:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to Sales, Customer Service, Trade Management, and Digital stakeholders
  • Providing data-driven insights to support decision-making
  • Driving ownership, accountability, and transparency across all RM topics

Ensure delivery of customer value and commercial performance by aligning strategies with market dynamics and operational capabilities, while fostering a culture of:

  • Performance excellence

  • Continuous improvement and efficiency
  • Digital adoption

Regional Performance & Steering

  • Overall responsible for Revenue Management performance across Region Asia
  • Act as regional focal point and trusted advisor for RM topics
  • Lead Regional Performance Management (RPM) cadence with Areas
  • Define and drive regional targets and KPIs
  • Provide performance transparency and actionable insights
  • Identify gaps and drive corrective actions with Areas

A. Short-Term Product Bundles (QQ / QQS + Digital)

  • Overall responsible for QQ / QQS performance, adoption, and quotation quality
  • Drive conversion optimization and opportunity identification
  • Lead digital adoption (Web, API, EDI, eBL) and support product rollouts
  • Coordinate feature campaigns and go-to-market activities
  • Act as focal point for exception handling and governance

B. Long-Term Product Bundles (QFP / CVA)

  • Overall responsible for QFP / CVA governance and performance
  • Ensure timely reconciliation, invoicing, and exception handling
  • Provide transparency on negotiation pipelines and contract performance
  • Support Areas in negotiations and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with Global RM on product enhancements

C. Tariff Performance & Pricing Governance

  • Overall responsible for regional tariff optimization and pricing governance
  • Lead Quarterly Surcharge Review (QSR)
  • Ensure tariffs are market-aligned and revenue-optimized
  • Coordinate global surcharge initiatives regionally
  • Drive accurate reporting and revenue leakage mitigation

D. Commercial Process Management

  • Process owner for RM-related commercial processes in Region Asia
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes and guidelines
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Foster cross-functional alignment and collaboration
  • Act as regional point of entry for RM process topics

Cross-Functional Responsibilities

Value Added Services (VAS)

  • Drive product performance and competitiveness through benchmarking and analysis
  • Support commercialization and advocate usage with Areas
  • Address underperformance and provide enhancement feedback

Digital & Innovation

  • Support regional and global digital initiatives
  • Promote new features through structured go-to-market approaches

Stakeholder Enablement & Collaboration

  • Build trust through transparent communication and reliable delivery
  • Enable stakeholders with clear insights and recommendations
  • Drive alignment across Region and HQ
  • University degree or several years of experience performing quantitative business analysis with a background in either revenue management or analytical function
  • Strong analytical skills and mathematic proficiency, to include advanced statistics and probability modelling, as well as linear algebra.
  • Familiar with Hapag-Lloyd systems (Outlook, FIS, Salesforce, QlikView/Qlik Sense) and data-driven tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across functions and seniority levels
  • Proven ability to drive alignment and influence decision-making in a cross-functional environment
  • Maintain a positive, solution-oriented mindset under pressure
  • Receptive to new ideas with strong motivation for continuous self-development

Ability to originate and develop ideas, evaluate complex situations, and take appropriate action
