Director – Revenue Accounting

About Stronghouse:

Stronghouse is a leading provider of residential, multifamily, and commercial roofing, siding, and windows solutions in the industry. Stronghouse is a high-growth, private equity-backed consolidator with a strategy to grow both organically and inorganically via completing acquisitions and partnering with great operators in our markets.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Director, Revenue Accounting to join our team. This role is crucial for centralizing the revenue accounting function for the greater project-based business and will play a key part in determining the accounting treatment of revenue as the company evolves.

Onsite – Oak Brook, IL Headquarters

Compensation and Benefits – $150,000-$160,000 plus full suite of benefits (healthcare, dental, vision, 401K match, etc)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Revenue Accounting function of our business, including daily tracking of revenue progress, building of revenue backlog, forecasting future results, and communication with executive leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Aid in the development and implementation of the centralized accounting function to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the organization.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting by standardizing accounting practices and procedures.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements related to the revenue of our business.
• Train and mentor accounting staff to build a cohesive and effective team.
• Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting.
• Experience supporting private equity-backed companies or similar environments experiencing a high rate of change desirable.
• CPA certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Acumatica or similar ERP is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and compensation accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
