Job Description

Director ofRetail and MarketplaceAnalytics

Responsibilities:

  • Be a trusted thought partner,providingkey insights through data analysis to informstrategic planning and initiative prioritization– particularly to creative and brand strategy partnership

  • Teach,coachand train direct and indirect reports on how to bestidentifyand evangelize thesolutions driven throughdata, analytics,and technology available to support the strategic plans for theorganization.

  • Hands-onabilityto create and support executive levelpresentationsand analysesofanalytic and data solutions to support client needs

  • Independently leadthe development ofactionablemulti-phased / yearmeasurement, analytic or data roadmaps for clients

  • Ability totranslate data/results into clearnarratives for tech and non-tech audiencesacrossdifferent communication channels,i.e.ppt,emailetc.

  • Recommend Insights to Action for strategicand long-termplanningincludingtrade-offanalysisleveragingvalue-basedmeasurement.

  • Collaborate withcross-agency SMEsto ensuresolutions are well thought through and are client and customer centric

  • Provide thought leadership through articles, blogs,eventand other marketing avenues toguide innovative andcutting-edgeapplication ofanalytics and data solutions

  • Identifyopportunities forcross-solutioningwithin clients

  • Assess market trendsandincorporate external insightsto recommendpotentialproductsandmarket level opportunities.

  • Manage and nurture multiple existing, lead and growth account opportunities across Merkle and dentsu network

  • Develop depth and breadth of understanding ofsolutions and offerings across dentsu and Merkle

  • Lead matrixed teams through influence,collaborationand coaching

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in analytics, business consulting, data strategy and or strategic planning functions

  • 5+ yearsofcross-team leadership over multiple business and strategic disciplines

  • Agency experience a plus

  • Experiential (Event-Based) Analytics experience aplus

  • Creative Analytics and Measurement experiencea must

  • Executive level written and oralcommunication

  • Highly attunedand attentive listening skills

  • Elevated EQ

  • Ability to l everage data and insights forstory-telling and solution application

  • Ability to t ranslate ambiguous requests and requirements into tangible and tactical solutions

  • Ability to e xplain complex analyticand data solutions insimplified language for non-technical partners

  • Ability to m anage both client and agency teams tofacilitatetimelyand actionable solutions

  • High levelof business acumen and the ability tocomprehendbusiness challenges andidentifyanalytic and data led solutions

  • Understanding of broad spectrum of analytic tools, solutions and technologiesand their application to business action

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $155,000 CAD. Actual salary within the salary range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills. A range of medical, dental, RRSP, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available to all permanent employees.
