Job Title

Director, Release Product Engineering

The Director of Released Product Engineering is responsible for managing manufacturing engineering and project management activities

Your role:

  • Develop and lead governance of released products, driving functional alignment and prioritization of programs and projects in the released product portfolio

  • Lead end-to-end operations interface between the business, operations, and supply chain, acting as a liaison between them

  • Manage a team of operations members/program managers to partner with operations/supply chain to ensure released product projects are completed on time and on budget

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across various functions to resolve conflicting goals and prioritize driving optimal business solutions

  • Develop and execute plant network optimization of existing products as well as manufacturing transfers and scale-up of new products, supplier changes, vertical integration and leading make vs. buy analysis

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s or 6+ years of experience with a Master’s in areas such as Manufacturing/Operations, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Production Engineering or Cost Engineering or equivalent. 10+ years of experience preferred.

  • Your skills include environmental health and safety, product lifecycle management, process improvements, lean manufacturing, business acumen, cost optimization, project management, stakeholder management, change management, KPI management, budget management, people management, technology acumen, strategic planning and operational strategies.

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree/ Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Sciences, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Master’s in engineering or business administration preferred. Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma Certification or Design for Reliability and Manufacturability Certification also preferred.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in MN is $155,000 to $247,000

The pay range for this position in (STATE) is $163,000 to $259,000

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Plymouth, MN or Colorado Springs, CO.
