
The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank to serve as Director of the In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory (IVF Lab). The appointee will assist with the planning and opening of the new IVF lab at our South Loop Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) practice location. Primary duties include directing the IVF laboratory, establishing, and developing cutting-edge technology, and supporting the rapidly expanding the IVF/REI laboratory. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a PhD in embryology, clinical science, reproductive biology, or related field, 2) be board certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) or equivalent (ELD/HCLD certification), and 3) have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a human IVF laboratory, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
