Job Description

Responsible for the performance and coordination of volumes and sales related processes within Region Asia. Meet and exceed the volume budgets and targets as defined by the Region and consciously establishes a culture that encourages customer focus, individual development, efficiency, collaboration, and creates an environment for process improvements.

  • Overall responsible for setting the volume (Ocean and Inland) Budget and FCs for Region Asia.

  • Owner and facilitator of the Area Performance calls.

  • Responsible for the Sales Delivery Management quarterly target setting.

  • Process owner in Region Asia for any and all sales related processes.

  • Focal point for any area feedback related to Sales process or tools.

  • Owner of the quarterly shuttle forecasts, serve as a liaison with the areas on quarterly demand.

  • Drive the highest levels of quality towards our customers, be customer-oriented and create value for customers as well as for Hapag-Lloyd.

  • Drive performance with the Areas by exceeding Quality promises and KPI deliverables.

  • Support the adherence to the Commercial Blueprint across the Region.

  • Participate and support the global/regional projects related to Sales.

  • Review customer survey results and jointly implement measures with the areas to improve customer satisfaction for Sales.

  • Assist in the rollout and drive the usage of new and existing product offerings by Hapag-Lloyd.

  • Regional point of entry for all Sales business process inquiries.

  • Identify and communicate areas of concern / proposals to enhance the current business processes to the relevant stakeholders

  • Coach and develop the Regional Sales team.

  • Lead the Commercial Checkbacks (Area Visits) of the Areas for sales related functions and topics.

  • Lead performance management for Areas within the Region through robust performance management system.

  • University Degree and 10 years of experience in the maritime industry or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience required in Performance Management and Area Sales Steering, under managerial capacity
  • Familiar with Hapag-Lloyd systems (Outlook, FIS, Sales Force, Qlikview/Qliksense and Sales Delivery Management)
  • Good communications skills.

  • Strong network in the organization, especially with Global Commercial Development, Trade Management and Regions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Maintain a positive problem-solving attitude while under pressure.

  • Receptive and able to grasp new ideas and motivation for self-development.
  • Ability to originate and develop ideas, size up problems, evaluate facts and take action.
