Boyd Gaming is seeking a highly talented Regional Director of Revenue Management to lead the overall operation of multiple casino properties with a focus on profitability. This position is responsible for the execution of accepted yielding models for the hotel, casino, arena (s) and special event inventories. Maintains appropriate status reports for tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for established business metrics. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills combined with a good understanding of operations, business and financial astuteness to drive favorable results in support of the company’s goals and initiatives.

  • Grow RevPAR, or a company defined WorthPAR at multiple properties
  • Daily room inventory management
  • Monitor hotel and competitor rates, availability, strategies, and seasonality and adjust pricing accordingly.
  • Review unconstrained demand and provide pricing recommendations for the optimal mix and segmentation of the business.
  • Establish target pricing for Group Sales and Transient segments.
  • Analyze local events and project their impact across multiple properties
  • Prepare weekly and monthly forecasts for multiple properties.
  • Lead the weekly revenue / yield meetings at multiple properties; reviewing prior week’s decisions to evaluate effectiveness; following up on assigned tasks of others; critiquing year over year variances by segment; etc.
  • Conduct displacement analysis with group or contract – opportunity costs for multiple properties
  • Provide analysis of hotel performance against their comp set for multiple properties
  • Utilize systems and resources including LMS, Rainmaker, Delphi, ATI, Loyalty, TravelTripper, Nor1 and continually stay informed & evaluate future technological enhancements to lead the enterprise.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual rooms revenue budget and business strategy plans for multiple properties.
  • Ensure distribution channels have accurate content and pricing parity is maintained. · Develop relationships with the Online Travel Agencies (OTA) to maximize opportunities through these channels.
  • Assist with internet marketing campaigns and digital content.
  • Assist in developing the hotel managers so that they become proficient with revenue management within the short-term booking windows.
  • Monitor group blocks and cut off dates.
  • Work with the hotels to ensure coding, tracking and reporting is performed correctly.

Qualifications

Must be based in Las Vegas, Nevada

Education and/or Experience:

  • Hotel Management, Business and/or related degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years revenue management experience - with a strong preference for casino-based revenue management knowledge

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong team player that provides exceptional service and customer relations skills with ability to foster effective relationships with staff, management and guests to achieve business objectives
  • Able to lead, manage, and mentor a team to achieve optimal results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate ideas and concepts. · Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously · Must have strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Highly proficient in computers and technology including, but not limited to Internet, Microsoft Office programs and hotel proprietary systems and configurations
  • Travel up to five – ten business days per month
  • Such other similar or related duties as may be assigned
