Job Description

Directs, operates, and maintains large commercial property/portfolio ensuring hard and soft facilities services (Engineering, Custodial, Contracts, and Subcontractors); budgeting and financial oversight. Evaluates portfolio options for: reducing occupancy costs, improving space usage, and monetization and redevelopment of existing space.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and articulate a short-to-mid term strategic vision for the real estate portfolio that directly supports the health system’s growth plans and enterprise-wide goals.
    2. Lead comprehensive portfolio optimization initiatives, driving strategies to reduce costs, generate revenue, and rationalize footprint across multiple regions or functional units to meet annual targets and long-term strategic objectives.
    3. Oversee and guide pipeline reviews and complex feasibility studies to assess alternatives and recommend solutions that balance diverse business needs, affordability, and enterprise direction.
    4. Identify system-wide or multi-regional opportunities for improvement in performance, utilization, and customer experience, developing robust business cases to support recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
    5. Advise senior leadership on new market opportunities and network strategies based on demand, access, and competitive dynamics, with a long-term planning horizon.
    6. Lead regular operating reviews with regional and functional unit operators to review pipeline, data, and project status, ensuring alignment and accountability.
    7. Establish and manage strategic relationships with third-party brokers and external stakeholders, setting performance expectations, monitoring KPIs, and driving accountability.
    8. Coordinate extensively with internal and external legal counsel on all binding documents and complex real estate issues, providing strategic guidance.
    9. Lead the internal socialization of large-scale real estate initiatives, securing alignment and approvals from diverse senior stakeholders, and providing clear, timely updates on progress and strategic impact.
    10. Provide strategic oversight and accountability for all significant regional and multi-regional transactions, including new leases, renewals, extensions, terminations, subleases, surrenders, purchases, and dispositions.
    11. Develop policies and procedures for tracking and managing critical lease dates, ensuring proactive strategic decision-making ahead of key events.
    12. Direct site selection processes leveraging advanced analytics, tools, and market intelligence, overseeing market tours and strategic broker engagement.
    13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in transaction management, lease administration, and customer relationship management across functional units.
    14. Lead and direct integration activities for acquisitions and divestitures within the assigned regions, ensuring seamless transition and strategic alignment.
    15. Contribute to proposals and business development efforts within assigned groups, acting as an advisor on real estate implications and opportunities.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
