The Data and Content Management division's focus is to modernize government services through responsible use of artificial intelligence, data, and emerging technologies. The division develops innovative digital solutions, strengthens Alberta's data capabilities, advances AI adoption across government, and leads strategic initiatives that support economic growth, productivity, and better outcomes for Albertans.
Lead the engine that delivers Alberta’s most urgent AI-enabled solutions—turning high‑value government priorities into secure, scalable products at unprecedented speed while safeguarding public trust.
As the Rapid Execution Delivery (RED) Director, you will lead the Government of Alberta’s enterprise rapid‑execution AI delivery function, transforming urgent ministry needs into production‑ready digital solutions that improve services, strengthen operational efficiency, and accelerate modernization. This role oversees multidisciplinary teams, applies frontier AI engineering practices, and ensures every solution meets the highest standards of security, privacy, accessibility, and responsible AI governance. Required: Post-secondary education in computer science, information technology, engineering, public administration, business, data science, artificial intelligence or related, PLUS 5 years related experience in progressively responsible leadership roles in digital, technology, AI, data, product, or enterprise delivery environments.
Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience, or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Related 1 year certificate PLUS a minimum 10 years of experience
Related 2-year diploma PLUS a minimum 9 years of experience
Related minimum 11 years of experience
