At Liberty, our Personal Lines Property & Specialty Product team partners across the company to design and launch home and specialty insurance solutions — from homeowners (property) and condos to renters and other niche lines (specialty)— that meet evolving customer and agent needs. We focus on preparing and executing program rollouts, delivering on our growth roadmap, and modernizing pricing and the technology that supports the work we do. Organized into five functions—State Management, Development, Delivery, Underwriting Effectiveness, and Specialty—we collaborate closely to meet our goals and help customers feel secure today and confident about tomorrow.

Property & Specialty Product is seeking a leader for our Aerial Analytics and Operations team. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for owning the health and intelligence of the Aerial ecosystem. This role requires a highly analytical, data-driven leader who can understand what is happening across Aerial results, diagnose why performance is changing, storytell to clearly communicate changes in a complex environment, and translate performance insights into clear opportunities – ultimately driving our business outcomes.

We are looking for a leader who can establish a clear operating model for how Aerial performance is measured, understood, and improved across the ecosystem. This leader will be responsible for ensuring the organization has strong visibility into Aerial results, the root causes behind those results, and the evidence needed to prioritize enhancements and future investments. The role requires strong cross-functional partnership with USDS, external vendor partners, Risk Analytics, and other Product stakeholder teams to ensure Aerial capabilities operate effectively and continue to strengthen our competitive position in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of analysts responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and improving the health and intelligence of the Aerial ecosystem.
  • Establish clear reporting and analysis to how Aerial is performing in quoting, pricing, and UW, ensuring ongoing improvements to generate insights as Aerial features and capabilities continue to expand.
  • Diagnose why Aerial results are changing by ensuring the team has the right views, data, vendor inputs, and operational information needed to understand performance drivers and emerging issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Aerial outcomes through vendor performance, orchestration, process changes, or other enhancements, working in close connection with the Aerial Solutions team.
  • Maintain strong relationships with partnered vendors, including Nearmap and others, to ensure vendors are delivering the data and insights the business needs.
  • Partner with USDS to ensure data pipelines, feature store, and related operational capabilities are functioning correctly and supporting reliable Aerial performance.
  • Build and maintain external intelligence on how key carriers are using aerial imagery, how industry approaches are evolving, and what trends should inform our strategy.
  • Develop and maintain industry intelligence on Connected Home trends and how key carriers are approaching emerging capabilities in this space.
  • Translate Aerial performance evidence into clear recommendations that inform roadmap, prioritization, and investment decisions.
  • Serve as a thought leader and cross-functional partner with peers in Product, USDS, and other teams to ensure Aerial insights are understood and acted upon.
  • Play an active role in building a dynamic and inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or equivalent in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Minimum 8 years, typically 10 years or more of relevant experience
  • PhD beneficial
  • Expert skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software packages (eg, SAS, Emblem)
  • Must have exceptional planning, analytical, decision-making, communication, and project management skills
  • Experience directly managing others required
  • Experience managing operations beneficial
  • High-level knowledge of data sources, tools, and the business (lines, systems, pricing plans), predictive modeling, and code (eg, SQL)
  • Significant understanding of competitors' pricing strategies and relationship to our own
  • Industry knowledge developed from internal meetings, news alerts, project-specific work, and proactive research into competitor strategies

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
