
The Director, Professional Development & Training (PD&T) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategy and operations of UNH PD&T, a department that annually engages 6,000+ adult learners from 400+ organizations in noncredit upskilling and workforce development training programs. Through open-enrollment workshops, conferences, certificates, boot camps and customized corporate training, the unit is responsible for generating $2 million in program revenue annually.
PD&T is a unit within UNH Online & Continuing Education with the Director reporting to the Director, Online & Continuing Education.
Leadership (25%)
Provide overall leadership and strategy for the department and the unit’s teams in program management, marketing and communication, operations, and enrollment.
Develop and implement department strategy and processes around continuous improvement in areas of programming, marketing, enrollment, operations, and staffing.
Serve in a leadership capacity within larger OCE initiatives and noncredit support service teams.
Supervision (25%)
Serve as direct supervisor for PD&T’s senior program management, marketing, enrollment and operations staff.
Direct and support staff in goal setting, training, and problem-solving.
Conduct annual staff performance evaluation and support ongoing staff development.
Lead department in staff operations around hiring, onboarding and training
Program Management (30%)
Support department-wide strategy for management, development and growth of noncredit program portfolio.
Collaborate with UNH and OCE partners on the expansion of UNH developed and managed noncredit programs.
Maintain oversight and operations of a program portfolio.
Oversee existing PD&T external vendor program partnerships.
Support PD&T’s ongoing custom training and corporate partnership programs.
Budgeting & Finance (10%)
Develop and manage PD&T’s annual fiscal year budget in alignment with OCE financial structure.
Assure department’s achievement of annual revenue and expense projections.
Manage a system of ongoing tracking and reporting for department enrollments, revenue, and expenses.
Report key performance indicators around program offerings, enrollment, participation, and revenue to staff, leadership and stakeholders.
Additional Duties (10%)
Provide support to UNH, OCE and PD&T in various leadership, operations and support roles around custom training and corporate partnerships, marketing and communication, and noncredit support service teams.
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree preferred. Experience working in higher education, workforce development, corporate training, or related fields.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Preferred candidate would demonstrate skills, competencies and experience with:
Destiny One Learner Enrollment System (or similar)
Corporate outreach and sales
Marketing and communication strategy and tools
Microcredentials, digital badges, and learning pathways

Compensation Pay Range:
$72,980.00 - $130,670.00
