Since 1980, we’ve helped train more than 17 million people across service‑oriented industries including education, health care, behavioral health, long‑term care, human services, security, corporate, and retail.

At CPI, we are dedicated to changing behaviors and reducing conflict for the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security of everyone. We believe empathy, meaningful connections, personal safety, and security are the antidotes to fear and anxiety. This philosophy is central to everything we do and traces back to our beginning.

As a member of the team, you can expect to:

  • Make a difference through your work — You’ll be proud to tell your family and friends what you do.
  • Gain significant career experience within a fast‑growing organization.
  • Feel fulfilled and have fun — We work hard but make time to build meaningful relationships and celebrate wins.

The Role:

The Director of Product Marketing is a strategic commercial leader responsible for translating CPI’s product portfolio into market‑winning positioning, revenue growth, and sales effectiveness. Sitting at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, this role owns the commercialization strategy for CPI’s full product portfolio — from defining messaging and pricing to enabling field teams and driving successful launches.

The Director of Product Marketing partners closely with Product Management, Revenue Leadership, and the Customer Insights function to ensure CPI’s products are understood, valued, purchased, adopted, and expanded.

What You Get to Do Every Day:

Product Commercialization Strategy

  • Usher in the commercial success of CPI’s product portfolio.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new products, enhancements, and market expansions.
  • Partner with Product Management to translate roadmap investments into market opportunities and revenue outcomes.
  • Build commercialization plans that maximize adoption, retention, and growth.

Positioning, Messaging, and Market Narrative

  • Define compelling product positioning and differentiated messaging.
  • Create value propositions tailored to buyers, decision‑makers, instructors, and learners.
  • Ensure consistency across marketing, demand generation, sales enablement, customer communications, and thought leadership.
  • Develop market narratives that strengthen CPI’s competitive position.

Pricing and Packaging

  • Lead pricing and packaging strategy across CPI’s portfolio.
  • Evaluate market opportunities, buyer willingness to pay, and competitive positioning.
  • Recommend and implement pricing models that improve growth, profitability, and customer value realization.
  • Build business cases for new monetization opportunities.

Revenue Enablement

  • Equip Sales, Customer Success, and Partner teams with the tools they need to win.
  • Develop playbooks, competitive battlecards, objection‑handling materials, product training, and launch assets.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Leadership to improve win rates and accelerate sales cycles.
  • Ensure customer‑facing teams can confidently communicate product value.

Product Launch Excellence

  • Own launch planning and execution across the organization.
  • Create repeatable launch processes and readiness frameworks.
  • Coordinate product, marketing, sales, customer success, operations, and enablement activities.
  • Measure launch effectiveness and continually improve performance.

Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Serve as the voice of the market.
  • Monitor competitive activity, market trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
  • Translate insights into actionable recommendations for Product, Marketing, and Revenue teams.
  • Partner closely with the Customer Insights function to identify growth opportunities.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Act as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
  • Drive alignment around priorities, launches, positioning, and commercial outcomes.
  • Influence without authority and create clarity across teams.

You Need to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Product Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Product Management, Go‑to‑Market Strategy, Commercialization, or related roles
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing product marketing teams or leading cross‑functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling B2B products, services, or learning solutions
  • Experience developing and executing commercialization strategies that drive measurable revenue growth
  • Proven experience partnering with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing organizations
  • Experience creating sales enablement programs that improve adoption, win rates, and revenue outcomes
  • Strong understanding of pricing, packaging, positioning, and market segmentation strategies
  • Experience analyzing customer, market, and competitive data to inform strategic decisions

We’d Love to See:

  • Experience in SaaS, learning technology, training, education, workforce development, healthcare, or human services
  • Experience supporting both direct sales and channel/partner sales models
  • Experience working in private‑equity‑backed organizations or high‑growth environments
  • Experience with AI‑enabled marketing, sales enablement, or commercialization programs
  • Experience launching digital learning products, subscriptions, certifications, or technology‑enabled services
