The Common Services team is responsible for shared data, infrastructure, and tools that power all Ethoca products. By building robust data foundations and supporting shared services, we enable consistent, scalable and efficient capabilities across the entire product portfolio. This includes unifying customer onboarding, billing & reporting systems, sales & support tools, and core infrastructure so that Ethoca’s solutions benefit from a centralized backbone. These common services drive efficiency, reduce manual effort, and ensure a consistent enterprise-grade experience for customers across our issuers, merchants, and partner ecosystem.

A key strategic focus for the Common Services team is unifying Ethoca’s customer and transaction data across all products onto a single canonical customer data model and integrate siloed datasets (Ethoca product data and Mastercard network data) to provide a holistic, 360° view of customers and their transactions. By consolidating core data and identities into one platform, we are enabling more powerful cross-product analytics and insights, streamlining multi-product onboarding and enabling greater scalability and consistency across our services. This initiative will strengthen Ethoca’s data-driven foundations and unlock new enterprise capabilities in the coming years.

Key Responsibilities: As Director, Product Management, you will be responsible for the following:

Strategic Product Ownership: Own the roadmap for Ethoca’s unified customer and transaction data assets. Deliver the multi-year product strategy, ensuring the capabilities align with Ethoca’s business goals and customer needs.

Delivery Leadership: This is a hands-on role, working directly with tech teams, with an expectation of high-quality delivery and on-time execution, balancing near-term goals with long-term scale.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Being comfortable with data is exceptionally important. Using customer feedback and data insights to identify opportunities, prioritize enhancements and continuously improve the platform

Data governance and compliance: Engaging with governance, legal and compliance to ensure product development is in alignment and supporting with business rationale where needed

Cross-Functional Influence: Collaborate in a matrixed environment across engineering, data science, architecture, reporting, operations, design, sales, and marketing, to deliver the product strategy. Strong communication, ensuring alignment and shared vision with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams is expected.

Alignment with broader Mastercard data strategies: Monitor and assess existing and emerging organisational solutions, seeking to differentiate core capabilities, features, and functions. Develop clear, convincing, and data-driven business cases for new investments.

Strong technical knowledge: Understanding of APIs, building data assets in cloud infrastructure, managing security requirements and other aspects of the product as needed.

Ideal Candidate Profile – Skills & Experience:

8+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on developing data products. Background in computer science and/or data science is highly desirable.

Knowledge of modern technical architectures, familiarity with enterprise data platforms, and strong technical acumen to engage with engineering teams is desirable.

Proven success in building and scaling B2B or enterprise software products from concept to launch.

A curious, analytical, and result-oriented mindset. Adept at using data and market research to spot trends, develop evidence-based business cases, and drive continuous product improvement.

Comfortable with the use of AI, ML, data modeling, and analytics for product development.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading by influence in a global organization, aligning diverse teams around a shared strategy.

Prior experience with, and a deep understanding of, defining business strategy is required – prior experience in a business consulting or related role is a bonus

Experience in the Payments, Card Fraud, Ecommerce, or Financial Services space is desired

Ability to hit the ground running, adapt quickly and take an action-oriented, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to execution that focuses on measurable results

Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in order to meet project constraints (budget, deadlines, etc.)

Proven product management skills in bringing and scaling new product and/or new product features to targeted markets.

Strong communication skills with various audience types including senior management, technical and business teams.

Experience with developing business cases and execution of a product idea through conception and development to management and enhancements.
