Membership Portfolio Services, within our US Consumer Services Business, is responsible for developing and scaling several growing businesses that are strategically important to American Express. We are developing unique and differentiated ways to strengthen the Membership Model across Amex Offers, Advertising, Dining and Marketing Technology.

The Enterprise Comms & MarTech Experiences (ECMX) team is a global organization that sits within Membership Portfolio Services (MPS). It is American Express’ marketing services center of excellence with the charter of powering high quality, efficient, user-centric digital marketing experiences that accelerate business growth through optimized enterprise MarTech & MarOps solutions.

You will be joining ECMX’s MarTech organization, focused on providing frictionless, flexible, and flawless marketing and servicing experiences.

You will be part of a team that is responsible to create/manage products supporting the segmentation, targeting & eligibility domains using MarTech Customer Data Platform (CDP) across 24 Global markets. This team will play a critical role in overall Marketing targeting audience setup, execution and fulfillment of marketing offers across multiple channels.

In this role you will own the product roadmap and strategic vision. You will partner with colleagues in Product, Engineering, and the Business to inform and drive forward the product roadmap. An ideal candidate will be interested in product management, technology modernization, and Mar-Tech Products like Customer Data Platform (CDP). The candidate should be a quick-learner, curious problem solver and adept to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for American Express’ enterprise Customer Data Platform (CDP) and associated customer data capabilities powered by Adobe Experience Platform (AEP).
  • Lead the evolution of enterprise capabilities across customer profile, identity, marketing data, audience management, segmentation, targeting, eligibility, and activation, enabling personalized marketing experiences at scale.
  • Drive the modernization of legacy marketing data and targeting capabilities onto a scalable, reusable, and globally available CDP ecosystem, balancing transformation objectives with ongoing business needs.
  • Establish a platform product strategy that enables businesses and marketers to discover, understand, build, and activate audiences efficiently while improving speed-to-market and reducing operational complexity.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Architecture, Analytics, and Operations leaders to translate enterprise priorities into platform capabilities, investment strategies, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Serve as a senior Product leader for Adobe Experience Platform and Real-Time CDP, continuously assessing Adobe capabilities and the broader MarTech ecosystem
  • Define product strategies for customer identity, data ingestion, profile management, audience creation, eligibility, activation, and marketing data products, ensuring capabilities are reusable across markets, channels, and business units.
  • Drive adoption and migration strategies that enable business teams to transition from legacy capabilities to the future-state MarTech ecosystem while minimizing customer and business disruption.
  • Define and monitor product KPIs across adoption, audience creation velocity, data quality, platform reliability, reuse, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
  • Champion customer-centric product management practices, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the CDP product portfolio.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers while establishing strong product management practices and accountability across the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • 6+ years of Product Management or related digital product experience, with demonstrated leadership of complex enterprise platforms or products.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing multi-year product strategies and roadmaps for large-scale digital, data, marketing technology, or customer engagement platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and related capabilities, including customer profiles, identity resolution, segmentation, audience management, targeting, eligibility, and activation.
  • Experience leading large-scale technology modernization or platform transformation, including migration from legacy capabilities to modern platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategies and customer needs into platform capabilities, investment priorities, and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading products that depend on complex data ecosystems, integrations, APIs, and enterprise technology architectures.
  • Strong understanding of modern Product Management practices, including discovery, prioritization, roadmap development, outcome measurement, and Agile delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and navigate complex dependencies across Product, Engineering, Data, Architecture, Marketing, Operations, and other enterprise functions.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing Product Managers and/or cross-functional product teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Real-Time CDP, or comparable enterprise Customer Data Platforms.
  • Deep knowledge of customer identity, audience segmentation, targeting, eligibility, personalization, decisioning, and real-time customer profile capabilities.
  • Experience building or managing marketing data products, or self-service audience/data capabilities.
  • Experience with real-time and event-driven architectures, including streaming customer data and real-time audience activation.
  • Experience operating shared enterprise platforms across multiple businesses, channels, and global markets.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud data architectures, APIs, data pipelines, data quality, metadata management, and data governance..
  • Experience establishing platform governance and operating models for capabilities shared across multiple business units.
