ABOUT THE ROLE

At Nielsen, we are passionate about our work to power a better media future for all people by providing powerful insights that drive client decisions and deliver extraordinary results.

The Director of Next-Gen Measurement Product is the architect of our future measurement ecosystem. This role is responsible for incubating and scaling high-impact products at the complex intersection of audience data, contextual signals, identity, and measurement.

This is a true 0-to-1 innovation role. You will guide cross-functional teams to discover, validate, and launch differentiated solutions that will define the future of Streaming, Advertising, Commerce, and Social Media measurement. The Director will operate at the cutting edge of the ad-tech landscape, transforming unique data assets into foundational tools that agencies, brands, and publishers rely on to navigate a privacy-first world.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Product Strategy & Innovation

• Define and own the multi-year product strategy for Nielsen's next-generation measurement ecosystem

• Identify whitespace and drive new monetization opportunities across flagship portfolios, including N1 Ads, Outcomes, Ad Intel, and N1C

• Partner across Nielsen's broader product organization to successfully productize, integrate, and commercialize unique data assets

Customer Discovery & Market Fit

• Lead structured, rigorous customer discovery initiatives directly with key agencies, brands, publishers, and platform partners

• Validate product-market fit through targeted alpha/beta programs and rapid, signal-based experimentation

• Act as the definitive voice of the market, translating complex client needs into clear prioritization and roadmap decisions

Execution & Incubation Leadership

• Drive rapid product incubation, validation, and scaling from initial MVP to full enterprise deployment

• Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, data science, UX, commercial, and external partner teams

• Set clear OKRs and maintain outcome-based accountability throughout the product development lifecycle

Go-to-Market & Ecosystem Strategy

• Collaborate with GTM, partnerships, and commercial teams to design comprehensive pricing, packaging, and positioning strategies

• Engage and negotiate with strategic ecosystem partners—including DSPs, SSPs, clean room platforms, and ID providers—to expand product reach and market adoption

HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED

• Innovation Pipeline Velocity: Time-to-market from rapid incubation and MVP validation to scaled commercial deployment

• Product-Market Fit (PMF): Conversion rate of alpha/beta pilot partners into long-term commercial contracts

• Revenue & Whitespace Growth: Incremental revenue generated from newly productized data assets and whitespace initiatives across the N1 and Outcomes portfolios

Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

12–15 years in product management, with a proven track record of owning complex, high-stakes product portfolios

• Demonstrated experience launching 0-to-1 products, from rapid incubation through to scaled commercial adoption

• Strong analytical and technical fluency—highly comfortable working with APIs, complex data graphs, and advanced measurement frameworks

• Working knowledge of modern data infrastructure, which may include ad-tech platforms (DSPs, SSPs), identity providers, or privacy-safe clean room environments

Leadership & Judgment

• Strategic thinker with a strong bias for action, experimentation, and deep customer empathy

• Capable of making rapid execution decisions while balancing long-term strategic vision

• Exceptional communicator capable of aligning engineering, data science, and commercial teams around a unified roadmap
