About this role:

Reporting directly to the President of Automated Logic, the Director of Product Management will be responsible for driving innovation and setting new product development priorities, communicating product vision and strategies to key stakeholders, and aligning product strategy to ALC’s overarching business goals. Reporting to this position will be a team of Product Managers and Product Owners whose purpose is to cultivate and deliver innovative smart building solutions on time and on budget. The smart buildings solution sets will include field devices, hardware, software, and digital (as a service) offers.

This is a highly strategic role and will require cross-functional collaboration and coordination across various businesses, support services, and product teams within Carrier Commercial.

ONSITE ROLE IN KENNESAW GA

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating and owning product strategies, roadmaps, and priorities by soliciting and analyzing industry data, voice of customer data, and competitive information
• Aligning product strategies and plans with the near-term and long-term financial plans of the organization.
• Developing business cases and requirements around proposed development efforts
• Create enticing Value Propositions and pricing strategies, and flawlessly execute product launches.
• Evaluating and managing third-party solutions for make vs. buy decisions.
• Manage and improve the profitability of the product portfolio through the life cycle
• Leading and developing an industry-leading team

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8 + years of experience in hardware and/or software product management required

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA preferred.
• 5-10 years of experience in commercial building automation and controls preferred.
• Strong financial acumen and demonstrated success in launching new offerings globally.
• Team leadership experience
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving are required.
• An analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with customers and co-workers at various levels within an organization.
• Capacity for empathy and the ability to relate to, understand, and weigh the interests of a variety of audiences simultaneously.
• Ability to work directly with customers to uncover product needs, opportunities, and problems they are trying to solve.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and execute product innovations.
• Ability to sift through details quickly and determine what is important.

• Excellent computer skills including advanced features of Excel and PowerPoint
• Traveling up to 25% (domestic and international)
