Role: Director - Product Management
Status: Regular, Full Time
Reports to: Vice President, Product

Location: Markham
The Director, Product Management is fully accountable for end to end product strategy, portfolio ownership, and P&L performance across Enercare’s home services portfolio, including Water Heating, HVAC, Water Purification, Electrical, Plumbing, Maintenance & Protection Plans, and emerging energy solutions.
This role owns the commercial and strategic success of the portfolio — defining customer problems, setting product vision and allocating investment across categories ensuring products deliver measurable customer value. You will lead a team of Product Managers and people leaders, accountable for lifecycle management, pricing, value propositions, and GTM alignment.
You will partner cross functionally, serving as the product decision authority, ensuring offerings are customer led, economically sound, and scalable.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
• Own product P&L outcomes, including revenue, gross margin, attach rates, and lifecycle profitability
• Own and communicate the multi year product vision and roadmap, aligned to corporate strategy
• Create and execute strategy that expands multi-product ownership
• Partner with Supply Chain to establish and manage OEM partnerships, product roadmaps
Product Lifecycle Management
• Lead products across their full lifecycle: discovery, launch, optimization, expansion, and retirement
• Set pricing guardrails and offer architecture, partnering with Marketing and Finance on execution
• Drive optimization grounded in ROI, unit economics, and customer value realization
• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to develop integrated go to market strategies
• Support regional and market launches, expansions, and pilots
• Own business cases, forecasts, and post launch performance reviews
Customer & Market Leadership
• Monitor and translate market, regulatory, and technology trends into portfolio actions
• Champion customer backed decisioning, grounded in research, data, and field validation
• Translate insights into commercially viable value propositions and requirements
Cross-Functional & People Leadership
• Act as the senior product executive voice across the organization
• Influence senior leadership through data driven recommendations and clear storytelling
• Lead and scale a multi level product organization, including succession planning
• Establish and enforce product operating standards, metrics, and governance
• Foster a culture of ownership, commercial accountability, and customer impact
Qualifications
• 10+ years experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, or Product Marketing
• 5+ years leading and developing high performing product teams
• Proven experience owning category or portfolio level P&L preferred
• Strong financial acumen, including pricing strategy, business case development, and ROI analysis
• Demonstrated success launching and scaling products through cross functional execution
• Experience in home services, HVAC, utilities, energy, or adjacent industries strongly preferred
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast evolving markets
• Exceptional communication skills, with experience influencing senior executives and frontline teams
