Who You Are: (Job Summary)
The Director, Procurement Operations is responsible for leading the enhancement of our source-to-pay value chain, ensuring tactical procurement excellence, and instituting purchasing guidelines that mitigate commercial risk. This leadership role is responsible for strategic management of process enhancement, and building foundational linkages between key partners, as well as the management and mentorship of several purchasing teams. The successful candidate will be pivotal in ensuring our procurement practices align with organizational values and leverage technological advancements for efficiency and innovation.
What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide enterprise-wide strategic leadership for purchasing and procure‑to‑pay transformation initiatives, establishing scalable, well‑governed, and auditable procurement practices that support business growth and risk management.
- Set the vision and operational strategy for end‑to‑end purchasing processes, partnering cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, Technology, and business leaders to drive adoption, efficiency, and compliance.
- Drive appropriate purchasing governance including training, compliance monitoring, exception handling, and behavioral controls, in partnership with Finance and Risk teams.
- Lead Procurement- related data governance across ERP and procurement systems, including creation, maintenance, and data quality controls to ensure accuracy, integrity, and auditability.
- Serve as a senior Procurement‑to‑Pay (P2P) leader, advancing procurement maturity through technology modernization, digital readiness, and best‑in‑class purchasing policies and governance frameworks.
- Establish and oversee enterprise communication, training, and enablement strategies to ensure QTS stakeholders effectively transact within ERP and procurement systems, driving consistency and compliance.
- Provide executive oversight of the transactional buying organization, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant purchasing execution while balancing service levels, risk controls, and operational efficiency.
- Own the governance and evolution of purchasing policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, audit expectations, and sustainability objectives. Continuously monitor and optimize procurement performance metrics.
- Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence, embedding scalable processes, controls, and performance metrics that support growth and evolving business needs.
- Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, providing strategic direction, coaching, and accountability while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and disciplined execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing decision-making by aligning procurement strategy with broader enterprise objectives, risk posture, and transformation goals.
- Define, monitor, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) that demonstrate growth, value realization, and continuous improvement across the procure‑to‑pay lifecycle, with a focus on transparency and executive‑level reporting.

What You Will Need to Be Successful: (Required Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., PMP, CIPS) is a plus.
- Proven experience (10 years) in procurement, project management, or a related field with a focus on risk management and compliance.
- At least five years of experience in people, project, or program management.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, risk management principles, and audit practices.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence, and collaborate across departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA, Master of Supply Chain.
- Experience working for or supporting a data center provider (multi-tenant data center, hyperscale user, or equipment provider).
- A track record in Workday and/or Oracle systems implementations, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Procurement certification (e.g. ISM CPSM).

- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, on multiple, concurrent projects of varying complexity and competing priority.
