Reporting to the Assistant VP of Principal Gift Operations and University Priorities, the Director translates philanthropic, financial, relational, and institutional information into actionable strategies that positions fundraisers and University leadership to advance principal gift and campaign opportunities.The position serves as a strategic partner to development leadership and frontline fundraisers, providing insight into portfolio composition, campaign pipelines, prospect opportunities, and engagement strategies. The Director works collaboratively with Prospect Development and Advancement Analytics to leverage institutional data and intelligence while focusing on the strategic application of that information to campaign priorities and fundraising strategies.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Details

  • This position requires the following background checks: Cash Handling and Personally Identifiable background check. Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least six (6) years of experience in prospect research, advancement operations, or major gift fundraising.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Preferred Education and Experience
  • Experience in higher education or healthcare.Required Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong strategic thinking, judgment, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of campaign strategy, portfolio management, and principal and major gift fundraising.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders, fundraisers, and colleagues across the University and Health System.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial, analytical, and philanthropic information to varied audiences.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in philanthropy and fundraising. Ability to understand and adhere to data confidentiality standards, including University, HIPAA, GERD,

and CPRA requirements. Adherence and familiarity with the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement (APRA) Statement of Ethics.

  • Familiarity with Ascend, Lexis Nexis, DonorSearch, iWave WealthX, Windfall, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, Teams, and Monday.com.
