40The Service Line Director, Primary Care provides operational leadership for pediatric primary care practices within Dayton Children’s. In collaboration with the Division Chief(s) and under the direction of the Senior Director of Primary Care Operations, the Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of assigned clinics including patient access, staffing, financial performance, employee engagement, patient experience, and quality outcomes.
The Director oversees operations and coordinates activities across departments to support the strategic priorities established by senior leadership through the Executive Director. This role is responsible for planning, implementing, and leading operational initiatives that support program development, operational excellence, and achievement of short- and long-term service line goals.
The Service Line Director leads clinical and administrative teams to ensure effective patient care delivery, operational efficiency, and strong fiscal management. Responsibilities include developing and implementing staffing plans, overseeing operational performance, managing budgets, supporting capital planning, and leading quality improvement initiatives.
This leader plays a key role in fostering a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to organizational standards related to patient safety, quality, patient experience, and operational best practices. The Director works closely with physician leadership, operational peers, and cross-functional partners to develop and sustain programs and services that strengthen Dayton Children’s pediatric primary care network and support the organization’s mission to deliver high-quality care to children and families.
Education
Master's degree required (MBA, MHA, MPH, MSN or other related field)
Experience
5 years of healthcare leadership experience required
