Job Description

Director, Pricing & Margin Management

Turn pricing strategy into profitable growth.

We are looking for a strategic, commercially minded Director of Pricing & Margin Management to lead pricing strategy for our eCommerce division while driving margin management activities across the broader enterprise.

This is not a role focused simply on maintaining price lists or running calculations. You will sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, finance, operations, sales, and data, helping leaders make better decisions about where we compete, how we price, and how we protect and expand margin.

Reporting to the VP, Global Pricing, you will serve as a trusted pricing advisor to senior leadership while building the processes, insights, and discipline needed to support profitable growth.

What You’ll Make an Impact On

Lead Pricing Strategy

You will own and shape pricing strategy across the eCommerce division, partnering closely with the Division President, Sales, Finance, and Operations.

You will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop division pricing teams while establishing clear priorities, accountability, and service expectations.

  • Translate business objectives into actionable pricing strategies that support growth and profitability.

  • Own pricing governance for new business, renewals, concessions, and other significant commercial decisions.

  • Develop pricing structures that balance market competitiveness, volume, asset utilization, and margin expectations.

  • Partner with Sales on customer negotiations, scenario modeling, and commercial strategy.

  • Provide fact-based recommendations and executive-level decision support for complex pricing decisions.

  • Ensure pricing changes are accurately implemented across systems, contracts, price lists, and customer communications.

  • Represent the division in enterprise pricing initiatives and help implement standardized tools, processes, and governance developed through the Pricing Center of Excellence.

Protect and Expand Margin

You will lead margin management activities across customers, products, sites, and market segments, identifying where the business is gaining or losing value and driving action.

You will:

  • Identify margin compression and margin expansion opportunities and recommend corrective actions.

  • Lead recurring margin and price realization reviews with Sales, Finance, and Operations.

  • Oversee contractual escalators and de-escalators, including index selection, calculations, timing, documentation, and implementation.

  • Monitor changes in raw materials, labor, freight, energy, tariffs, and other cost drivers and translate those changes into pricing actions.

  • Evaluate customer, product, and channel performance to understand the relationship between pricing, volume, mix, retention, and profitability.

  • Build models, dashboards, and reporting tools that clearly explain pricing and margin movement.

  • Support forecasting, operating reviews, and senior leadership discussions with meaningful commercial insights.

  • Establish accountability for actions and ensure pricing decisions move from analysis to execution.

What You Bring

You combine strong financial and analytical capability with commercial judgment and executive influence.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • 8 to 12+ years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial finance, revenue management, or a related field.

  • Leadership experience developing teams and leading complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of margin analysis, price realization, cost-to-serve, and manufacturing economics

  • Demonstrated success turning complex financial and market data into clear commercial recommendations and measurable business outcomes.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills.

  • Experience with enterprise pricing platforms, CPQ, ERP, CRM, and/or data warehouse environments strongly preferred.

  • Experience establishing pricing governance, improving processes, and operating across multiple locations or business units.

  • Executive-level communication skills and the confidence to influence decisions at multiple levels of an organization.

  • Strong judgment, organization, and prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment.

The Leadership Style That Will Thrive Here

You are someone who can move comfortably between strategy and execution

You challenge assumptions without creating unnecessary friction. You understand that the best pricing strategy only creates value when Sales, Finance, Operations, and leadership understand it, believe in it, and execute it.

You are analytical, but you do not hide behind the data—you use it to tell a story, recommend a direction, and drive action.

Most importantly, you build capable teams, establish accountability, and create pricing discipline that supports sustainable growth.

Additional Details

  • Reports to: VP, Global Pricing

  • Department: Pricing

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt

  • Travel: Approximately 15%

  • Work Environment: Primarily professional office-based work with periodic exposure to manufacturing environments.

If you are a pricing leader who wants the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, build stronger pricing discipline, and directly impact profitable growth, we would welcome the opportunity to connect!
