New Jersey Resources (NJR) is seeking a Director Power Markets Strategy to help shape and drive NJR’s power market and growth strategy. The role will be expected to navigate the regulatory and market landscape in PJM and NJ that impact distributed generation and storage assets, while partnering closely with Business Development, Finance, and Policy to assess opportunities and drive investment decisions.
Major Responsibilities
• Advise on PJM market rules and constructs, and NJ regulatory requirements for power generation.
• Track and advise on actual and potential market and regulatory changes, translating into actionable strategic recommendations to senior leaders
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including PJM, industry partners, consultants, and policymakers.
• Evaluate investment opportunities across distributed generation including commercial solar, fuel cells, linear generators, and energy storage.
• Identify optimization opportunities across the existing asset portfolio, including revenue enhancement and organic growth investment opportunities.
• Participate directly in the origination, and negotiation of new investment opportunities and structured transactions to implement the power market and growth strategy.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in power markets with a deep understanding of PJM market constructs
• Experience with business development and/or capital allocation decisions
• Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
• Prior experience working in New Jersey power markets is a plus
• Strong networking and relationship building skills across industry stakeholders

Other Details:
Job Location Type is Hybrid.
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $143,500- $183,100
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
