Director, Planning Continuous improvement

This role is responsible for providing direct and strategic leadership to managers and senior individual contributors of service supply chain planning , and overseeing global continuous improvement programs in process, data and people growth. The role addresses complex supply chain issue that need to be solved to improve service parts planning outcomes, from NPI to end of service. The role involves driving multi-year supply chain strategies, developing business cases and financial models for investments, and monitoring key performance indicators for supply chain programs and projects.
Impact
Global Service Parts Planning Leadership
- Lead global service parts planning strategy and execution across the product lifecycle.
- Ensure optimal inventory availability, service performance, and customer support outcomes.
- Drive planning governance and operational excellence across a global organization.
Planning Transformation & Modernization
- Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap to modernize service supply chain planning capabilities.
- Lead process redesign, automation initiatives, digital transformation programs, and adoption of advanced planning technologies.
- Drive organizational change and embed scalable, data-driven ways of working.
Technology & Analytics Enablement
- Champion adoption and optimization of planning platforms such as Servigistics and other advanced planning solutions.
- Leverage analytics, automation, AI, and digital technologies to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory optimization, and service performance.
- Establish reporting frameworks and measurement systems that enable proactive decision-making.
Strategic Business Leadership
- Develop business cases, financial models, and investment strategies supporting supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership to align planning priorities with broader business objectives and growth strategies.
- Influence internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and business value.
Operational Excellence
- Drive continuous improvement programs focused on process optimization, data quality, automation, and operational governance.
- Balance customer service, inventory, cost, and operational performance objectives while solving highly complex supply chain challenges.
- Lead governance and risk management activities across strategic supply chain programs and lifecycle initiatives.
Organizational Leadership
- Lead and develop a global team of senior individual contributors.
- Build organizational capabilities in planning, analytics, systems, and transformation leadership.
- Drive succession planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Typically 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, service operations, or related functions.
- Strong preference for experience in service parts planning and service supply chain management.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale planning transformation, process modernization, and technology implementation initiatives.
- Experience working within complex, global organizations and managing geographically dispersed teams.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable business impact through planning excellence, operational improvements, and organizational leadership.
Operational Metrics
- Impact to P&L: E&O reduction per plan
- Customer experience: Level of Fill and Backlog performance
- Balance Sheet: Inventory targets (gross and net)
The pay range for this role is$166,050to$265,700USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
