The Transaction Banking Value Creation Plan (VCP) is a phased initiative to help us realize our ambition to become a top 10 North American Treasury Bank of choice for Commercial, Corporate and Institutional clients. The VCP tasked with aligning the core business strategies, product development roadmaps and investment pools of our Commercial and Transaction Banking businesses across TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank, Canadian Business Banking and TD Securities in addition to driving essential transformation programs across our Customer Interaction, Payment Processing and Post Transaction infrastructures to provide the necessary foundational capabilities to integrate our existing business services and support the development of new features for our clients.
While this role sits within the VCP team, it brings a broader enterprise strategy and transformation perspective to the mandate. The Director, Payments Strategy & Transformation will shape the enterprise payments agenda, connect strategic priorities to a multi-year transformation portfolio, and translate ambition into target-state capabilities, product and platform roadmaps, operating models, investment cases and executable delivery plans. The role will help drive modernization across payment initiation, processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation and post-transaction services, ensuring the strategy addresses client outcomes, growth, efficiency, scalability, resilience, risk and regulatory obligations.
Working across TD Bank and relevant enterprise partners in business, product, operations, technology, architecture, data, finance, risk and control functions, the Director will lead complex initiatives spanning payments strategy, transformation, platform consolidation and the creation of a multi-horizon roadmap for payment processing and post-transaction capabilities. The mandate includes wires, ACH and mass payments, real-time and instant payments, cross-border payments, SWIFT and ISO 20022, correspondent banking, liquidity and settlement, fraud and sanctions controls, APIs and ERP/TMS connectivity. This role requires the ability to structure ambiguous problems, define business and functional requirements, influence senior stakeholders, and drive disciplined execution in a global, matrixed environment.
Success in this role means creating clarity from ambiguity, aligning senior stakeholders around a common payment's agenda leveraging top notch data analytics and insights and converting strategy into measurable execution. The Director will be recognized for producing high-quality insights, accelerating decisions, strengthening cross-functional collaboration and helping TD Securities deliver differentiated payments capabilities for its clients.
